 Not so "brilliant"... Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
I guess I am the one person here who didn't enjoy this. Not my style at all. Her voice is nice, but that's all the positive comment I can make about this CD. There is too much noise on this CD and it's just "young"...meaning I think it would appeal to younger listeners than myself (I'm 30).

Even after a year of listening, this CD never gets off from my car CD changer. I really love it. Whenever the traffic gets tight up, I'll just push a button and listen to hiro's sweet love. This MTV is brilliant because it was shot in NYC where I live. She has released some new singles which are great, too. I'm really looking forward for her second album. The Brilliant album is really a must-buy CD for a JPOP fan.

Simply 'BRILLIANT'! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Hiro is the second SPEED member in line to release her official solo album after Uehara Takako. Being one of the lead singers in SPPED, Hiro's first album naturally received immediate attention by music critics and SPEED fans that are following closely behind her solo releases. Hiro had 3 singles up to date before 'Brilliant' and there had to be plenty of good music to fill up this massive 16-track album. Hiro has shown a tremendous improvement in her vocals and expression. Her voice sounds surprisingly mature and skilled in all of the songs in this album. Some commendable performances are tracks like "Sweet Love", "Treasure" and "Brilliant". Her clean and mature vocals, together with skilled emotional expression sort of locked Hiro's current style in place and there's anticipation of good music from this aspiring singer in the future. Overall, 'Brilliant' is an impressive quality album that is highly recommended to J-pop fans out there. Hiro is definitely an up-and-rising star who is capable of producing beautiful sounds through her newfound music style.

brilliant Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
a brilliant album title for a brilliant album. hiro in her post speed cd effort surprised me. though she is my favorite, i thought the cd was goin' to be 1/4 of what she put out when she was with the group, but as i found out, she is 4x greater!!! songs like "as time goes by", and "look back on the time" feel like it is a speed cd (which is a good thing), the other songs like "sweet love", and "love swing" give u the kick-back feeling u would want when cruising a sunny day. "close my eyes" (which starts off like ginuwine's "2 reasons i cry") has all the elements for a classic as do "delicious". hiro seems to have a long lasting career in the world of jpop!!!

all 16 songs are great, i love them all, especially sweet love, in season and give it to myself. this is the best album i ever heard!
