Popular Taiwanese groups Lollipop and Mei Mei join hands for the highly anticipated youth drama Brown Sugar Macchiato. Both groups are extremely popular in Taiwan thanks to their daily variety shows and down-to-earth personalities, and the characters in the drama are especially written for the members, most of whom are making their acting debuts here. The 15 leads even use their real-life nicknames in this fun and lighthearted romantic series. VJ/hosts Rong Jia and Xiao Xiang also appear in the drama, and fans can look out for cameos from other BBT and Blackie Show members.
Brown Sugar Macchiato begins with six very different teenage boys (Lollipop) who are suddenly informed they are step-brothers - and heirs to a massive fortune. The condition for getting the money is that the six of them must live together for a year and become true brothers. None of them are too happy with their newfound "family", but for the sake of the inheritance, they end up under the same roof and at the same school. Also in their class are nine loud and strong-minded girls (Mei Mei) who immediately clash with the boys. And thus begins a very unforgettable year for these 15 teenagers...
