January 25, 2008 Buyer BewareI'm not what you would call an M fan, but I bought a couple of his albums before this and enjoyed them. I thought getting a live concert would show me a great time and a good performance, I was very wrong. While his singing wasn't poor or his song selection bad, everything else was a bit lacking. He spends about the first 10 minutes of the concert dropping names and talking about his success. The rest of the concert was generally him and his dancers not really doing much, except for the occasional hip thrusts to the crowd and ripping off of clothing. Maybe I just happened to purchase one of the worse live performances. I do believe him to be a decent artist otherwise I wouldn't have purchased multiple albums, so do listen to his music and judge for yourself. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

Everything is done crisp, clean, and full on from the singing and dancing to the the costumes and back drops and lighting. This is not just for Rain fans, it's for anyone that just wants to see a good performance, though being a fan sure helps. If you are a new fan you will get to hear a range of music from his recent albums, so you get an idea of what you're in store for. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

I accidentally stumbled onto their music and heard "Come To Me". I was immediately attracted to the bands sound. This album is a great introduction to anyone not familiar with CZQ's other works. The album contains a varied mix of sounds from mellow lounge to techno and pop, and much else. It's just who Clazziquai Project is, musical experimentalists. Great beats, lyrically strong, and the vocal stylings of the Alex and Horan, along with guest artists will have you wondering why you didn't pick them up sooner. Did you find this review helpful? Ultra Blue (Japan Version)

July 3, 2006 Difference and ChangeI had anticipated the release of the album after hearing "Be My Last" and "Passion". When I got the album I wasn't dissapointed at all. Hikki trully is a master and originator of the craft. Each track is completely different from the one before it but they all still flow together. The lyrics are once again an amazing arrangement. I would actually have to compare this to Exodus in the sense that there is a lot of experimentation and mixing of genres on the album. If you find the off beat composition fun to listen too then Exodus would be a good one too look at as well. Personally, I think, Exodus and Ultra Blue are prime examples of how you can be strong lyrically and still experiment with beats, while not losing any emotion or any of the story telling. Get both albums and trully listen to them and let the music fill you. I like the additions of some of her other singles, it goes well with the other songs and shows how versatile Utadas style can be. To end with a happy note.....Good Job Hikki, can't wait to see the other great stuff you have in store for us. Oh, and do you think you could do a US tour? Did you find this review helpful?
