Her artist name literally means star and now as if to further reinforce that notion, Byul's latest LP has been put into the care of Park Jin-young who works for top artists including Bi a.k.a. Rain. To make sure that this release reaches first class standards, it was furthermore co-produced by expert Kim Hyun-suk who also got his own music student Na Yoon-gwon involved in the work for Byul's latest album. The promising new R&B chanteuse teamed-up with Byul to give her emotional principal track "Safe or Not" an additional soulful touch. Other potential highlights include "2+1" that features popular rap artists like C-Luv and Rappaholik as well as "I think I", which can also be heard in Bi's hit drama Full House.

프로듀서 김형석과 박진영이 만든 특급 프로젝트 앨범 "별 2집" 발매!
2002년 10월에 데뷔한 별은 2005년 3월 13일, 만 2년만에 컴백무대를 갖고 본격적인 2집 활동을 재개한다. 오랜 기간 동안 심혈을 기울여서 준비한 만큼 이번 별 2집 앨범은 특별하다. 이번 앨범은 국내,외에서 최고의 인기를 구가하고 있는 “비”를 키워낸 프로듀서 박진영과 지금의 박진영을 만든 한국 최고의 프로듀서 김형석이 함께 작업하여 사제지간의 완벽한 면모를 보여준 특급 프로젝트 앨범이다. 특히 가요계에서 흔히 볼 수 없는 듀엣 곡을 타이틀곡으로 선보이므로써 더 기대가 주목되는 앨범이다.
타이틀곡 "안부"는 김형석 사단이 키우는 신예 R&B 가수 나윤권의 잔잔함 속에 묻어있는 힘있는 보컬과 슬픔을 담담하게 표현하는 절제된 별의 음색의 절묘한 조화를 아름다운 곡으로 승화시켰다.
그 외에도 한국적인 감성 멜로디와 미묘한 감정을 잘 표현하여 별의 보컬이 그대로 전달되는 "다른 사람"이란 곡과 이효리,이현도 등과의 공동 작업으로 언더와 오버 힙합씬에서 두각을 나타내고 있는 랩퍼 C-Luv, Rappaholik의 다른 두 색깔의 랩핑이 곡의 느낌을 더욱더 살린 "2+1"곡이 실려있다. 또한 지난해 비와 송혜교가 출연하여 최고의 인기리에 방영된 KBS 드라마 "풀 하우스"의 ost 에 수록되어 컬러링과 벨소리 등 1위를 차지한 "I think I"와 "고마워 할께요"도 수록되어 있는 등 이번 별 2집 앨범에는 총 15곡이 수록되어 있다.

My skepticism is gone...
| Her first was okay, didn't stand out that much so I wasn't sure about getting this one. Luckily, I took the risk and found a true golden compilation. There's just so many great songs on this album which consists of heartfelt ballads, wonderful acoustic, and easy-listening songs that sum up to a winner. |

| My mom bought me the first Byul CD randomly, but instantly I realized the talent this young singer had. When I found out she made a second album, I bought it immediately. WOW. The first album was great but this new one is just perfect. I think she ranks right up there among korean R&B singers like Lee Soo Young or Lyn. Each song is unique and stirs a different feeling in me. Her voice is a lot more mature than most korean singers out there and she has this entrancing quality about her. Definitely won't disappoint and recommended for all. |

It just good
| Well. It's a real good CD. I bought her first CD. It wasn't good as much as I thought. Her second CD was much better than first one. I could tell that JYP did it again! |

| i was actually really eagered to hear this album after i heard "i think i" from full house, but after i finished whole album i was kind of dissapointed. sure all the songs were great and calming, but a lot of songs sound the same to me, not much changes. but overall this a CD worth buying =] |
