Arguably even better than his inital release Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
CALL is Yosuke Sakanoue's second album, a transition between his solo work and his recent band project 'Spiral Spiders'.
With Yosuke having self-produced and written this album, it feels a lot more honest than the over-produced and addictive pop of his debut - and it allows him to showcase an array of different talents (playing synthesizer, harmonica and playing his own guitar parts.) The songs are adrenaline-charged and addictive and seem to relate directly to the artist himself. There's moments of typical adolescent rebellion ('Buraisu', 'Ari to Kirigirisu', 'Derashine') powerful, anthemic ballads ('Hikari', 'Zettai Makenai Yowamushi no Uta'), and light-hearted not-quite-pop songs as well ('Yuigon', 'Yoru ni Negai Wo'). For the bad part, there are bad songs on the album. Opener 'Episode' is miserable and 'Player's High' makes the listener wait for a good 2 minutes until it gets to the point.
Simply put, a solidly made, well-written second album which deserves equal praise (if not more) than TOY.

Yay~ Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
What a shock when I first heard this album! Naturally, I was expecting more of Yosuke's usual addictive pop music, but I was quite pleasantly surprised. I felt he did a very good job producing this record, and seeing as he had more control, I feel it may reflect his personal feelings more... or we can hope! Artists change and their music changes. Maybe this is where Yosuke feels his sound is, maybe not, but I do look forward to future albums. Either way, I love this album as well as his older stuff. I would not, however, reccomend it to die-hard fans of the 'Toy' album.
