The Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM is a large-aperture standard zoom lens developed specifically for cameras that take EF-S lenses. The use of UD and aspherical lenses in the optical system ensures high image quality and a large aperture of f/2.8 throughout the zoom range. The lens also features Image Stabilizer technology and a full-time manual focusing mechanism with an optical and mechanical design that maximizes the advantages offered by EF-S lenses, resulting in a high-performing lens with excellent cost performance.
