故事發生於中日戰爭末期，日軍飛行敢死隊員宮本奉命前往重慶轟炸參謀總部，途經一處中國游擊隊與日軍的交戰區，宮本在醉中胡亂投彈，自己的飛機亦被日軍擊中，被迫降停路邊，並被日軍帶返軍營。營中軍官山本欲處罪宮本，宮本害怕，遂與厭倦戰爭的炊事兵小次郎漏夜逃走。宮本與小次郎幾經辛苦逃離軍營，却又遇上游擊隊，二人為求脫身，乃偽稱不是日本人，游擊隊聽後，即要二人加入並接受訓練。隊長方正因妒恨宮本對副隊長玲玲大獻殷勤，乃對宮本與小次郎百般刁難，更派二人夜探日軍軍營，無奈二人却攪到營中一片混亂，爆炸四起，二人逃走不及，只好留在日軍軍區。未幾，中日戰爭結束，方正受命中央往接收日軍，山本不願投降，更施計反抗，無奈大勢已去，只好投降。方正與山本更化敵為友，同慶祝戰爭結束。

In an exciting but also amusing sequence, thing go badly wrong. Finally they knew the news.
