Just when Zhan Zhao (Andy Lau) grows increasingly tired of his everyday life in the pacified Sung dynasty under his master Bao Zheng (Anthony Wong), he runs into Bai Yu Tang (Cecilia Cheung) who likes to disguise as man and help the needy together with the group called 'The Five Mice'. Zhan admires what he believes to be a hero's gifted martial skills and upright honesty and the two soon become friends.

After Zhan receives an honors title for unveiling a conspiracy, Bai pledges to challenge him to a duel to find out whose martial arts talents are better and takes possession of his wedding gift, a precious sword. Ordered to bring 'The Five Mice' to justice he finally can convince Bai to follow him. After Bai reveals that she is a woman, Zhan is full of happy surprise, but he has promised to marry somebody else ...

Unbeknownst to Zhan, however, Bai is actually a girl who has had the longest crush on her companion from the other side of the law. As their conflicts escalate, Bai has to think of a way to win Zhan's heart without giving him too big of a shock!

Good fantasy hero & beauty movie . Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

I enjoyed it! Light , funny, love conquers all.
Story loosely based on the deeds of a famously honest Imperial court official and his 4 officers from ancient Chinese folklore.
A must if you like Cecilia, Andy.
Good looking actors, decent dialogs, interesting plots, colourful costumes and Hong Kong style slang and humour. Anthony Wong was excellent in this movie, really enjoyed his bathing scene with Andy. Ms. Le Bing Bing who played the emperor's quite niece was a bit boring, maybe just the script.
