Korean Wave heroine Choi Ji Woo stars in the 2008 SBS romance Celebrity's Sweetheart (a.k.a. Star's Lover). Her dashing suitors: Lee Ki Woo (Rude Women, A Love to Kill), Ki Tae Young (Terroir), Phillip Choi (Capital Scandal), and acclaimed film actor Yoo Ji Tae (Old Boy), appearing in his first television series since 1999's Love Story. The drama's supporting cast includes Cha Ye Ryun (Bad Love), Shim Eun Jin of Baby VOX, and Lee Joon Hyuk (The World That They Live In), plus many celebrity cameos.

Actress Lee Ma Ri (Choi Ji Woo) hasn't fallen in love since her first love (Phillip Choi) suddenly disappeared, but then she meets handsome young executive Jung Woo Jin (Lee Ki Woo), who shares the same name as her old boyfriend. Woo Jin is interested in Ma Ri because of her travel writings, which were actually ghost written by Chul Soo (Yoo Ji Tae). To protect her secret from Woo Jin, Ma Ri seeks out Chul Soo for lessons on literature and culture, and the two become increasingly close.

Star's Lover is Choi Ji Woo best work. the storyline is just ok but the chemistry between Choi Ji Woo and Yoo Ji Tae is to die for. Hands down the best on screen couple I've seen. I never thought the day will come when my favorite couple BYJ and CJW has been replaced by YJT-CJW. Two thumbs up.

 A True Love Story.... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I have seen this on tv recently here in Hawaii & I will get this when it has English Sub.

When I first saw the preview for this drama, I was glad to see that Choi Ji Woo was going to star in it. Now,
I wasn't too sure about Yoo Ji Tae to be her love interest since I had only seen him in movies (movies are short
so they don't get to capture the audience). Boy, I was wrong...wrong...wrong!

The chemistry they had in this love story was amazing! Choi Ji Woo is so good in bringing her male co-star to shine & that YJT did!

Choi Ji Woo played an orphan who became an icon of an actress. Yoo Ji Tae, a writer, becomes a ghost writer for her & falls hopelessly in love with her. They have many oppositions from all sides why not to be together .

As you watch this drama, you laugh & you cry...mostly feeling good.

It is soothing & what a wonderful ending.

The OST is wonderful as always, classical & emotional songs that you will have visions of the scenes in your
head.
