It's more triad angst and action as superstar Andy Lau teams up with rising heartthrob Louis Koo for Century of the Dragon, a gripping triad actioner from the makers of Naked Killer! Andy Lau is Fei Lung, a legendary triad boss who's managed to go straight. His right-hand man is Sing (Louis Koo), an accomplished triad who's actually a cop sent deep, deep undercover to implicate Fei Lung in any wrongdoing. However, he's convinced that Fei Lung is on the straight and narrow, and has come to respect his boss' tough, righteous ways.

However, conflicts arise when Hung Hing boss Pau (Anthony Wong) falls ill, leaving a void at the top of the triad. Many want Fei Lung to occupy the seat, but Pau's son Man (Patrick Tam of Beast Cops) wants in, even if he has to lie, steal, and cheat his way to the top. When Fei Lung is asked to return to the underworld full time, will Sing stop his boss? Or will he arrest a man he's come to respect? From director Clarence Fok and producer Wong Jing, Century of the Dragon hearkens back to the heroic bloodshed days of John Woo's A Better Tomorrow with its themes of honor and brotherhood between men on opposing sides.

U got power struggles and u got twists.. onli rivaled by the infernal affairs series. Got my non chinese speaking friends all riled up hahaha. :p

 Dragon Head, Snake Tail Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
The first half of movie is very engaging. The visual effects and conversations are enjoyable, especially at these two scenes: the body and mind match in the box ring and the lover's flirting in Sing's apartment. The movie brilliantly uses color contrast between the two male leading role's costumes to imply the moral struggles. In the boxing match scene, Fai-lone wears white and Sing black; while during the face-off gunfight scene at the end, it turns the opposite way. The second half of the movie is average, if not below. The plot went plain stupid from the time Fai-lone gets captured. Everything looks same old again, and the story ends in a hurry. I can't help but to think that the moviemakers ran out of time, energy, ideas or budget -one or another. I see this Dragon Head Snake Tail problem a common problem in many Hong Kong movies and TV series. You can always expect excellent acting and actions, but the sound, cinematography, directing, plot, especially plot?are more like inferior copies of those of the Hollywood movies. Just a few sparkling exceptions here and there, once a while.

I've watched this great movie over and over because it's indeed the best HK gang/mob movie ever produced! No one can be as cool as Andy when it comes to be a "big brother"! Pay attention to his serious glances, and you'd be impressed...! Great actings!
