After five consecutive number one singles in the course of just one year, AKB48 is now officially one of Japan's most popular musical acts. But the party isn't over yet, as the girls now release Chance no Juban, their fifth single of 2010. Fitting with the song's title, the featured members on the single were decided by a rock-paper-scissors tournament with the 47 AKB48 members and 4 "research students". The top 16 members get to take part in Chance no Juban, and the top 12 of those 16 will be making public media appearances to perform the cute dance song. The single also comes with the B-side track Yoyakushita Christmas.

Type-A Version comes with Kurumi to Dialogue, performed by Team A. It also comes with a bonus DVD featuring music videos for all three songs on the single, as well as part one of a documentary on the AKB48 rock-paper-scissors tournament.
