Produced and directed by Hong Kong funnyman Karl Maka and written by Raymond Wong, Chasing Girls is a quintessential 80s comedy about, yes, chasing girls. Built on the tried-and-true "dumb guys chasing after pretty girls" formula, the film is a blast-to-the-past mix of harmless crude humor, slapstick hyjinks, and pure guilty entertainment. Chasing Girls stars Hong Kong cinema pillars Dean Shek Tin and Eric Tsang, along with actresses Nancy Lau and Flora Cheung. Sammo Hung and Karl Maka make cameo appearances.
Robert (Dean Shek) is supposed to be going to school in the States, but instead he spends all his time chasing after girls and neglecting his studies. And he sports an afro. Unable to put up with him anymore, Robert's mother angrily sends him back to Hong Kong, hoping he'll find himself a nice Chinese girl to marry. But of course, Robert continues with his philandering and even takes his socially awkward cousin (Eric Tsang) under his wings. Robert agrees to help his cousin pursue a TV star, but she ends up falling for Robert instead.
