Disney and Pixar have collaborated on many successful animations such as Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc. For the first time Disney launches a CGI project on its own and Chicken Little turns out to be as big a blockbuster as the previous Disney-Pixar films. The movie starts with Chicken Little ruining his reputation by sending out a false warning about the sky falling down. He cares about his own and, more importantly, his family's reputation, as his father happens to be a well-respected chicken in town. Regaining the townspeople's respect is no easy task, since he has become the laughing stalk of town. The worse part is even his father does not trust his judgement any more. Fortunately, Chicken Little still has support from his crew of oddball friends when it comes time to save the world from a real crisis. The ending of this film may not surprise you, as all children movies alike have happy endings, but fans will surely find the animation entertaining and the story inspiring, especially in its touching depiction of father-son relationships.

どこにでもある穏やかな町、オーキー・オークスで１年前に起きた≪ドングリ事件≫。この町に住む小さな男の子、チキン・リトルが「空のカケラが落っこちてきた！」と、騒ぎ立て、町中が大パニックに。しかし、空のカケラはどこにも見当たりません。頭上に落ちてきたドングリを空のカケラと勘違いしただけ…誰もがそう決め付け、父親さえもチキン・リトルの言葉を信じませんでした。それ以来、チキン・リトルは何をやってもヘマばかりで、町中の笑い者に。父も「お前には無理だよ」が口癖になってしまいました。それでもチキン・リトルは決してくじけず、「チャンスさえあればきっと名誉挽回できるはず」と信じ続け、遂に代打で出場した野球の試合でサヨナラヒットを放ち、チームを奇跡的な逆転優勝へと導き、名誉挽回を果たします。しかし、その夜最悪の事態が起きてしまいます。何と、またしても“空のカケラ”が降ってきたのです。しかもチキン・リトルの部屋の中に！すぐさま３人の親友を召集し、話し合いますが、その中の一人、フィッシュが空のカケラに乗せられて飛び去ってしまいます。追っていくとそこには宇宙船が！恐怖に震えながらもチキン・リトルたちは宇宙船の中に踏み込みます。チキン・リトルはフィッシュを助け出すことができるのでしょうか？そしてエイリアン襲撃の危機にさらされた町の運命は・・・？
