    November 14, 2007 Nice mag~ Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The photobook of YooChunnie and Min is HUGE and the photos are lovely <3 much like the JaeHo one from the previous issue.
    S-Mag is not exclusively for DBSK, so if you're only buying it for DBSK then yeah, you will be disappointed ^^;

There's really nice pics in the mag itself of Min, YooChun, Lee YeonHee (actress, Millionaire's First Love etc), SuJu (inc Henry. I wish everyone would shut up and leave him alone, he seems really sweet T__T), Seo Nyeo Shi Dae (only Yoona, Yuri, Tiffany and Sunny) etc etc. Min and Chun look BEAUTIFUL. Esp Min. He's growing up so handsome.<333

It's a little expensive for a magazine. But buy it with other stuff and you won't have to pay shipping (and shipping for this would be expensive elsewhere on account of the weight, size and shape of it). Unless you're a fan of some of the other featured artists too, it's probably not worth getting, though. :)

November 9, 2007 OH. MY. GOD. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I pre-ordered it on September 20th. Which is when it went up on YA. LOL. I didn't even read the description before I hit the pre-order button. That's the impression the first season left on me, but this... this just blows it out of the water.

It took about 3 weeks to arrive T___T but when it did, it came with a poster, such nice cover pictures and. Omgosh. All the disks were awesome. My favourites were the talk and show ones.

I started with the talk DVD. Pairing fans, this is HEAVEN IN A DISK. So much crack. *dies* I watched this first. As well as that, it gives you a really nice insight into their lives, personalities and relationships with each other. They're so adorable and so close and just. *melt* If you are a fan of DBSK. You need this. You do. XD
The variety show was awesome too. It's like. X-man or something, but run by DBSK, featuring DBSK. lol.
The whole thing is awesome. I've enjoyed it far more than any other DVD I've ever bought and I got a lot more playtime for my money than I'd usually get when buying DVDs.

...but it's too good to last I guess :P SM are still going to be emptying our wallets. $160 for the Paris photobooks, anyone?

    November 1, 2007 Really nice package~ Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Pretty box and booklet, and a great collection especially if you're new to MoMuSu or don't have some of their earlier hits.
The DVD is great, it has 17 live videos, one picked by each of the members [including former members] with a short talk/introduction by the member. I don't normally buy H!P releases but I couldn't resist this one and it's worth the money.

For a long time I wondered what everyone saw in them because they're not the greatest singers, far from it. But watching the DVD.. you see it. The electricity in some of those performances is amazing, and that's sitting here in my living room. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like in that concert hall. Momusu fan or not I'd recommend this release, no Jpop collection is complete without it.

August 18, 2007 Amazing Collection Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I've had this for years but never reviewed so I thought I'd drop my comments on it~

I came across this by accident a few years ago and thought "6 disks, for that price? DAMN I'm buying that xD".

The reason I think Luke felt misled is a misunderstanding of the term KPop. KPop doesn't mean Korean Pop music, it means Korean Popular Music, i.e. anything non-trad, and the charts were dominated by RnB, Hip Hop and Dance tunes at this time, rather than the influx of Bubblegum pop we've had in recent years. If it's bubblegum, poppy Krn stuff you're after, then this CD set is NOT for you.

Luke- you sound like my grandfather, going on about how the rap and the beats would give you a migraine. Wth. If you don't like that kind of music, why buy it? It's obvious from the reviews before yours [and the references to dance & hiphop in the tracklist] what kind of music it is, so you should've read them and avoided it.

And not all rap inspires hatred and violence, that's a truly ridiculous stereotype. And no one said rap is music, because it isn't, it's pretty much rhythmic speech. But just because you don't appreciate it, doesn't make it crap. I wouldn't listen to whole songs that are just rap but I think rap passages in songs breaking up the singing parts can actually benefit a song and add contrast and diversity.

Yes, the girls often belt to quite high notes in some of the songs, it is a common feature on Kpop from this era. They aren't screaming, and if you can't tell the difference then that's poor hearing on your part, not lack of talent on theirs. Kelly Clarkson belts to high notes like this too. It's just a different style, and it requires a lot of control and power to belt that high.

The fact that you use Britney Spears as an example of good music explains a lot. But whatever. Pretty much every review in here is positive anyway so I doubt you'll deter many people from buying this.

Anyway. There's a LOAD of awesome songs on here, and a load of great artists I'd never even heard of before.
It's a really awesome CD with some old favourites like HOT and SES and a lot of lesser known artists you're unlikely to find anywhere else, and even better- EVERY song has the lyrics in the booklet [some of these songs, there aren't even hangeul lyrics online for them, and songs like HOT- Candy lyrics always have sections missing, but the full lyrics are included in this set]. The inclusion of hangeul lyrics makes it even better [it's not hard to learn to read&write hangeul ^^], the MV's are a nice addition but the price is worth it for the CDs alone.

As previously mentioned, the set is dominated by RnB, Hip Hop, Dance etc with a few ballads and poppier tracks [but not many], and there's obviously some rap too, so if you only like pop stuff there's only a few tracks that will appeal to you, like HOT- Candy and the SES tracks, BoA tracks etc.

My favourite tracks on the 4 main disks were~
    Disk 1: tracks 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 16, 18
    Disk 2: 1, 2, 7, 9, 12, 14, 18
    Disk 3: 1, 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17, 18
    Disk 4: 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 14, 16
[Disk 5 is just a mix of 1-2 minute excerpts from the songs on the other 4 disks in 4 non-stop mixes]

Highly recommended. If it comes back in stock, be sure to snap it up quick.<3

March 15, 2007 Fantastic Korean Debut Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I quite liked YounHa's Jpop stuff, but she never really stood out to me, but this album blew all of my expectations out of the water. I was amazed by it.

I love her pop-rock style, her voice is so well suited to it. Her ballads are really beautiful as well. Her voice is so much clearer, more powerful, more refined. The songs are great, from start to finish, and her vocals are consistently great too. Her voice is starting to remind me a little of Kelly Clarkson because of her power in the upper registers, she really has improved so much.

I'm definitely going to get this, it's my favourite album so far this year, and it's worth every penny. Even if you've never heard of YounHa, I'd recommend this.

The inclusion of instrumentals is a nice touch, and surely very much appreciated by those of us who love karaoke! The instrumentals are for 2 of the best tracks on the album, and -even better- the instrumental tracks still have the background vocals on them <33

Best tracks? It's really very difficult to choose. I tried to pick my favourites and ended up choosing 8 out of the 11 songs, which doesn't narrow it down very much. [Tracks 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10 and 11]

Please support YounHa and buy this CD, she's incredibly talented and unfortunately still underrated.

January 30, 2007 Good book. Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
The book contains a few pages of images, which is a nice addition although some are slightly pixellated. All lyrics are included, written in Korean. For the Japanese songs [my destiny, heart mind & soul] the lyrics are written in Japanese, with Korean pronunciation guide and Korean translations.

It's nice that the songs included span the whole first 2 years of their career, and for the number of songs included I think it's pretty good value for money too, I've had to pay much more than that for fewer songs.

The music is pretty accurate [some songs differ slightly from the original key signature, to make them easier to play, D flat major -> D major on HUG etc], although they're maybe a little simplistic [depending on your standard] but with the notes and chords you are given you can easily improvise a more detailed and interesting accompaniment. I found the book useful, and I love playing pop songs on piano so I rated it quite highly. My Little Princess particularly, sounds nice on piano.

It is a piano solo book, though. So it doesn't have the vocal line, then the piano part separately. So don't buy it if you're looking for piano accompaniment, the melody is carried in the right hand of the piano part.

    December 30, 2006 Very pretty book ^^ Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
First of all- WOW it's big. It's high quality, with very pretty pictures of DBSK and of Prague. Any fangirl would love it, definitely. Beautiful boys, beautiful scenery, beautifully presented.

The VCD contains 10 minutes of footage shot in Prague, so it's not long, but it's very cute and fun to watch. ^^ Korean subbed, no English. No other extras on the VCD~ [Note~ if there are pictures that you saw on the net that aren't in the book, chances are, they are stills from this video clip.]

The postcards and stickers are a nice addition, and the poster is pretty, all of the stuff is going on my walls, if I can find space, haha. I just wish they'd put perforations or something so you could pull it out of the book easier.

All in all... it's very nice. Yes, the English is appalling. But do you really care? You're not buying it for the text, after all, you're buying it for the pictures, no?
An essential addition to any DBSK fan's collection. Can't fault the book, my only complaint is the price- it's expensive, especially after the steep price-rise. But you get free shipping, and it's a heavy item that you'd have to pay high shipping costs for on other sites.

December 15, 2006 Great Repackage Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
*I recommend getting this and the D version of Vol 3 ^^*

I had to wait to get money to buy their album, and luckily for me, these 2 fab repackages came out soon after its release! Really cute packaging, and the lyric sheet folds out into a fairly big poster, and the vacation drama alone is worth the price you pay. Their acting skills have improved so much. I've watched most of their dramas etc. Even with my very poor grasp of the Korean language I burst into tears, several times. Seeing their acting made me appreciate DBSK even more.

The album itself is brilliant, a wide range of different styles, and tracks showing further vocal improvement from the previous two volumes. DBSK are going from strength to strength, so... jump on the bandwagon, if you haven't already! You're missing out~ =P Best Tracks? I love pretty much all of them. The ballads are outstanding on this CD, though. You're My Miracle, I'll Be There and Remember are my favourites. Also loving the title track, and balloons! The CD hasn't left my player since it arrived ^_~

December 15, 2006 Great buy. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I'm a huge DBSK fan and [I think luckily] I became a fan quite late, so I had the chance to buy their repackages instead of the original editions of the albums.
The extras on the VCD are nice, the wallpapers are hawt [and the big high def. images are good for using in graphics etc, if you're into that ^^] and it's a fantastic album, loads of great songs, their vocals improved since the first CD.
Best part is definitely the photobook. Really nice, hardback red book full of photo shoots, polaroids, cute little handwritten notes by some of the pictures, etc. Even though the CD comes in a cardboard holder, the album art images are in the photobook anyway.
Also, in a few key places, the photobook has a few lines of Japanese translation text so if you have a better grasp of Japanese than Korean, this is very useful ^^
There's a sticker sheet for each member, then a sheet with group picture stickers. It's a nice little addition, but I don't want to use them! x3
Support the artists, and treat yourself! Great value for money [particularly if you're a new-ish fan and don't possess volume 2], especially seeing as you have to pay twice this amount just for the latest photobook alone- this one comes with an album too! <3

Also recommend their older photobooks- Third Storybook in L.A [another photobook, comes with Tri-Angle album], 2nd photobook [The Way U Are single, +VCD +196page photo book, Jae's hair is pretty ^^] and the 1st photobook [Hug single, +VCD +164 page photobook], and Vol 3 repackage- get both versions C and D, it's well worth it ^^

December 9, 2005 Great Album! And perfect English! ^_^ Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I bought this album on the advice of a friend, having never heard any of Rie Fu's songs before! (That's how much I trust her taste in music ^_^) and I was pleasantly surprised when I finally got to listen to it! Rie Fu has a very pretty voice that has a nice, deep rich tone (quite unlike the other jpop artists i listen to, she sounds unique ^_^), I like the fact she writes all her own songs and plays piano on some of the tracks too! My favourites are 'Life is Like a Boat' and 'Decay' (both versions) She's perfectly bilingual (wowww ^^) and very talented, i definitely recommend this album. Go buy it!!! =D

August 17, 2005 Buy this now!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I have been anticipating this album and it has met my expectations. The album shows BoA's versatility and ability to sing in a range of styles and also shows vocal improvement- her voice is even stronger and clearer on this album.
It is so very different to her other albums but I still like it just as much. I played MOTO and was addicted instantly- it's an awesome song to sing along to. Girls On Top, the title track is a very different style of song but the message behind it and the MV are awesome and this song has really grown on me.
I also love the song addiction- it's so catchy and I can listen to it on repeat for ages! Definitely one of my favourite songs from this album.
The ballads are really pretty on this album as well, Love Can Make A Miracle (which she wrote the lyrics for as well) and If You Were Here are beautiful songs performed with the power and emotion that is BoA's trademark.
I thought the accapella "Autumn Letter" track at the end added a nice touch to the album, but I would have liked it to be longer.
Well worth the money, I recommend it ^_~
