　　《睡蓮》網羅亞洲觀眾所熟識的日本偶像明星永瀨正敏及友[土反]理惠主演，電影情節相當懸疑詭異，極盡光怪陸離。柯嫘和小太郎在一個畫展中相遇、相戀、結婚，他們本以為可此過著幸福快樂的日子，卻因為柯嫘肺中睡蓮不斷成長，身體狀況也一天比一天差，而使他們的生活陷入愁雲慘霧之中。此時，小太郎發現只要在柯嫘身邊種滿花朵，就可以抑制睡蓮的生長，因此他傾盡家產在家中種滿奇花異朵，可是此時卻遭公司開除，生活陷入困境，兩個明明相愛的人卻無法廝守一生。導演利重剛是日本著名的電影演員及作家，這是他的第二部電影作品。

　　When Kotaro meets Kuroe, it is love at first sight.The resolve to spend the rest of their lives together. But one day, Kuroe collapses and X-rays reveal something resembling a flower budding in her lung. She refuses surgery and goes home with Kotaro, unable to drink water, lest the bud blooms. When Kotaro discovers that other flowers in the room cause the first water lily to shrivel up, she fills the house with fresh flowers. Koraro loses his job, but is more than ever desperate to meet the expense of fresh flowers for Kuroe. Kotaro is finally offered a job with the florist. The house literally shrinks around Kuroe, as the flower blooms inside her and she fades away.
