Sound Horizonが奏でる《物語》は、音だけではなくパッケージされている要素すべてが揃うことにより更なる解釈が可能となり、毎回ジャケットを手掛けているYokoyan氏のイラストもSound Horizonの幻想的な世界観を表現する上で重要な役割を担っている。
DISC 2(CD)には、初CD化となるシークレットトラック3曲を収録。
DISC 3(DVD)には、現在入手不可能な「エルの楽園[→side:E→]プロモーションビデオ」のほか、全7曲を収録。特装仕様。

幻想的な物語を音楽的に表現する為に相応しい楽団員を、その都度必要な人数を集めて編成するという希有なスタイルのグループであり、歌い手・語り手の人数・性別も限定はしていない。
Sound Horizonの音楽を一言で言えば『物語音楽』ということになるのだが、詩、歌、語り、効果音等を情景に合わせて駆使した物語描写が最大の特徴であり、それはアルバム1枚を組曲に見立て構成する『組曲形式』という形で鮮やかに表される。
