I personally found the drama a little difficult to watch but the soundtrack really reminded me of its true essence. The music and songs focus on different aspects of the main characters (hence the playful tracks alongside the moving ballads). The orchestral pieces are more complex (in comparison to most K-Dramas OSTs) but rich in delivering the intricate and delicate personalities in the drama. With this in mind, the soundtrack was surprisingly more enjoyable than first anticipated! The 2 main theme songs "It has to be you" and "Calling out" are simply beautiful and tie the various types of love (romantic, family, friendship) together in the drama. This must be one of the most beautiful soundtracks I've ever heard. The songs are pretty varied. They range from mellow to happy songs. I must say that I love the mellow ones most. My absolute favourite tracks are 너 아니면 안돼, 불러본다 and 마이너 왈츠. They make me revive every moment this drama again. I can't get over how much I love this drama and it's soundtrack haha. It's incredibly sad yet beautiful. I wasn't even planning to watch it as it came out because I wanted to fully concentrate on "Personal Taste" for whatever reasons. Good thing I did decided to watch it later on. It's my favourite drama this year so far. I shed so many tears watching this, haha. The soundtrack matches the drama and it's mood perfectly. There's so much emotion in every single track even if there's no singing involved. I highly recommend buying it. You should definitely sell the drama dvd aswell yesasia! |
