　　文（黃柏文飾）與Michael（周文健飾）同屬重案組，文有體貼妻子及一雙活潑孝順子女，家庭幸福，而Michael為人是那種為了破案，奮勇得不顧後果，不理同僚的人。Michael在一宗案件偵查中，從疑犯口供獲悉有班大陸客來港做世界，Michael破案心切，行動欠周詳，幾乎連累文受傷，連文好友飛處隊長李Sir（李修賢飾）亦直斥Michael辦案方法會害死同僚，然而Michael卻不以為然。

　　未幾大圈幫果然進行劫案，且動用重型軍火，一場街頭槍戰，驚險百出，經過一輪追查，得知匪幫巢穴，文與Michael帶隧搜捕，但匪幫頑強抵抗，文即場中彈身亡，時匪幫逃至一戲院，利用觀眾作人質，與李Sir及Michael作困獸之鬥……
