Mr. Salesman! ^^

I just had to comment on this album. This is my favorite Clazziquai album! All the songs are awesome. It's just one hit after another. It comes in a paperback case instead of plastic, but the art on it is awesome. There's also a lyrics book attached. All in all, it's worth the 12 dollars. The music is worth every penny! Get your groove on! |

Superb second effort!
|
Kim Sung-hoon, the musical mastermind behind Clazziquai, delivers a splendid second album. No sophomore slump here! Indeed, "Color of Your Soul" is a much more consistent and polished effort than on Clazziquai's remarkable debut project. On this album, Kim quickly finds a mellow, funky pocket and stays there. Standout tracks include the three Brazilian numbers, on which the creamy vocals of Alex Chu and Horan Choi combine with sinuous samba rhythms to create true melodic delights. Turn down the lights, turn up the volume, and enjoy! It doesn't get much better than this! |

Nice Stylistic Adventure

From the very first track on this album, Clazziquai sets up a slight shift in style emphasis for their sophomore album. Instead of the electro-pop/bossanova combo they delivered on Instant Pig, Clazziquai has instead combined their electro-pop with a disco/funk style. There are still a couple of bossa-inspired tracks on this album, but theyre not nearly as prevalent. Compared to their first album, I dont think this one was as instantly likeable. However, now that I have given it time, I think I may like it overall more than Instant Pig. My favorite Clazziquai songs may still be ones from Instant Pig, but this album, as a whole, sounds better and more polished. As it should, since its a second release. Plus, I really like the disco/funk sound for them. Horan, in particular, seems to sound very good in this style. My favorite tracks were Fill This Night, Cry Out Loud, Be My Love, Dance, and Color Your Soul. Be My Love is a slightly corny track as the guest singer (Yi Sung Yoi) definitely sounds like hes trying to be Tom Jones, but he manages to pull it off pretty well, in spite of however silly the concept may seem. |

Yes-Asia should actually list audio samples so we know what were getting into. Other than that "Color Your Soul" was a good albulm; contains a unique blend of Genre's. |

a mixture between acid jazz and pop r&b has never been a blast in korea, a country where lame boy/girlband rules. that's why clazziquai is a fresh wind in the dull korean music industry. this album consist 15 catchy mid-beat dance song. if compared to their first album, this 'colour your soul' feature more vocal harmonization of alex and horan. however, not all song in this album are new. for those who already have their sample album back in 2001 you will find 'speechless' and 'mr salesman' again. but don't worry! DJ Clazzi a.k.a hoon , the mastermind of clazziquai, re-arrange the songs, it's completely different now! if you haven't heard any clazziquai song, i suggest you grab this album now. even if you're not a jazz fan lastly, i wish this site put clazziquai in the correct section, because they are group. not male solo...... |

good cd. the music and voices are amazing just like the first album. even when you have favorites, you end up listening to every song because it sounds so nice. of course 90% of what they say in english does not really make much sense, but it sounds nice. |

I'm really...*really*...excited about the new Clazziqaui album! Vol.1, Instant Pig, was one of the best albums I've EVER heard. Seriously! So I have high expectations for Vol.2; and judging by the sound clips on Clazziquai's official website, this is going to be a great album. Plus I think it's great that Clazziquai's catching on overseas in other Asian countries, and even in American too. (You guys have fans in the U.S.!) So news about them making a (musical) appearance on m-flo's Dope Space Nine remix album was just the icing on this funky, jazzy cake! :D |
