Agitated Screams of Maggots (First Press Limited Edition)(Japan Version)
December 24, 2006 Mixed feelings, still...When first hearing a clip of this new single... I was nothing but excited! But I now think the only reason I was so excited was because, well...Dir en grey was coming out with a new single. I think that because...after listening to the clip a few other times...I became SOMEWHAT disappointed. It was..a little...TOO much like western metal bands...
It's a good thing I got the single...no matter how I was feeling about it. After listening to the whole song, reading the lyrics, and enjoying the music... I really have enjoyed it.
People are worried that Dir en grey is going to sound like Agitated Screams of Maggots after this point onward. But I do not fear that, because one song does not decide the future of a band.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Gauze (Japan Version)
August 1, 2006 BEST THING IN MY STEREOAlrighty... I'm a new Diru fan... the first CD of Diru that I came to love was WITHERING TO DEATH.
Now don't say that because I'm a "WITHERING TO DEATH generation Diru Fan" that I'm an American hottopic poser!
After finding YESASIA.com I knew right away that I HAD to get GAUZE because there were so many good reveiws...many of which saying it was Diru's finest and greatest release of their whole career.
^_^ All I have to say is "Thanks" to all the people that gave it good reveiws.
I truely agree that GAUZE is one of the greatest cds I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
Though, at first, I came to love WITHERING TO DEATH, I've come to love GAUZE waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy much more.
This cd is no disappoint. A MUST GET FOR ANY AND EVERY DIRU FAN!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
VULGAR (Normal Edition)(Japan Version)
August 1, 2006 ENJOY THE VULGAROkay, okay... I know I'm a relatively new Diru fan...so...I should probably just shut my mouth now and take the advice of the older Diru fans, but I need to say something
...because for some reason I've heard a lot of things about fans losing hope in Diru because of VULGAR's release.
Why?
Apparently some say they are becoming more "americanized"...
How are they "americanized"?
Okay, okay....so...they left their Visual Kei background (which is indeed sad), but that doesn't mean they are "americanized"!!
They sound nothing like SlipKnoT...Killswitch Engage...AND THEY ARE NOT IN ANYWAY LIKE MARILYN MANSON!!!!
Anyway, if you really are a true Diru fan...give this cd a chance...don't hate them because they made a few changes...all bands change...you can't stop that from happening.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Ryojoku no Ame (First Press Limited Edition)(Japan Version)
August 1, 2006 Amazing and BeautifulI receive my copy of Ryojoku no Ame just yesterday and I LOVE IT!!!! ^_^
The first song, "Ryojoku no Ame", was amazing and beautiful. In no way was it a disappointment.
Kyo's voice is boyond comparison to any other and the musical talent of Kaoru, Die, Toshiya, and Shinya just makes the song even more excellent. I truely enjoyed the music of this song.
Of course it also comes with the three LIVE performances of "The Final", "Higeki Ha Mabuta Wo Oroshita Yasashiki Utsu", and "MR.NEWSMAN". Each were performed wonderfully.
I must say though, I'm overexcited that they had the LIVE version of "Hegeki Ha Mabuta Wo Oroshita Yasashitki Utsu" because Kyo sings that song with such emotion...it blows me away everytime.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
