After a lean and muscular mountain ranger (Sylvester Stallone) fails to rescue his partner’s girlfriend from a tragic death in the Rocky Mountains, his partner holds him responsible for her death. The friendship is then ruined and he leaves the rescue team to wrestle with his own guilt. A year later, he returns to Colorado to reconcile his relationship with his own girlfriend, who is also a rescue ranger. When a small jet crashes in the mountains, he is drawn into one last mission with his girlfriend and his old time pal. This time, the victims they are rescuing turn out to be deadly criminals who have stolen $100 million from the government.

I been waiting for a decent release of Cliffhanger like this DVD for years! Finally someone gave this super entertaining action flick it's proper treatment. With the best transfer I've seen yet, and with the superb DTS sound, this is like the SuperBit version of Cliffhanger. I strongly recommend this to any fan out there or to anyone who loves a good action film. |
