友嵐抬頭看著天上的雲，他歆羨白雲游移的自由，而宛露是否就像天上的一片雲，她愛友嵐嗎？或者，她真的像白雲飄向孟樵的懷裡？宛露與記者孟樵交往，而孟樵的母親不喜歡宛露說話太直，常常說話傷害她，也因為她的身世反對他們交往，而宛露從小就備受疼愛，知道自己不受孟樵母親喜愛，便要求分手，宛露的生母回來找宛露，宛露得知自己身世覺得難過，最後還是選擇與養育他的父母在一起，也接受了友嵐的求婚。在宛露婚後，孟樵還是沒辦法放棄宛露，時常來找她，希望他和友嵐提出離婚……。

Lin Ching Hsia is torn between 2 men and who else but her usual leading men of the 70s, ie. Chin Han and Charlie Chin. First, she falls in love with Charlie Chin and encounters difficulties in their relationship because of his mother. Then she finds out that she is not actually the daughter of a professor but the daughter of a nightclub hostess. Charlie Chin had difficulty accepting the fact and Lin Ching Hsia married Chin Han on the rebound. Chin Han treated her very well and their relationship developed. Charlie Chin insisted on resuming their relationship and wanted Lin to separate from Chin Han. She informs Chin Han who gets upset and accidentally hurts her. He stayed up all night watching over her. When she wakes up, he tells her he will talk to her after work. Then Chin Han has an accident at work.

One of the Best Taiwanese 70's Drama Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Cloud of Romance is one of the best Taiwanese 70's drama. The acting of Brigitte Lin, Chin Han and Charlie Chin is really good in this movie. The story is so romantic and the songs (If I am a Piece of Clouds and Whisper of the Pine Wood) are very nice. I watch this movie again and again and I do not feel bored at all.

This movie is one of the best of Brigitte Lin. Brigitte has acted very well in this movie as if it's really happening to them, good movie worth buying!

The story is not perfect due to a poor ending. I think the writer cannot think of a better way to end this triangular affair but Brigitte gave a very strong performance no one else could do. Chin Xiang Lin's acting here will melt every women's heart.

A must see for Brigitte Fans Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Note: Big mistake by the webmaster !! The Director of this film is Chen Hung Lieh and not as described !!

This film proved Brigitte Lin is a different actress from others. Very few actress can "scold" the elderly as well-acted as her, a characteristic act old-fashioned chinese will not accept. Her quarrel with Chin Hsiang Lin's mother the first 3 times they met are most intersting to watch, besides her dilemma between 2 men. Not surprised 10 years later, she became the box office queen of Chinese action films.

This is also 2 times Golden Horse best Actor Charlie Chin's film. Her love madness for Lin cannot be acted by anyone else. His dilemma between Lin and his mother is even more painful than Lin's between the 2 men.

Chin Han's as usual in his "no acting" face and sympathetic role that will win all women fans..

Interesting to note, the 2 Chin's are more like reversed roles in their real love life with Lin, although Lin and Charlie are just engaged.

I saw this movie several times in the cinema and I really liked it. Brigitte Lin, Chin Xiang Lin, Chin Han, Ma Yong Lin and Hu Yin Meng were all my idols at that time. A simple triangular romance which ended in tragedy. Fong Fei Fei's theme songs were superb. Not to missed this "once upon a time" romancing movie.
