Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion: Special Edition Black Rebellion is a special digest version of the hit anime series
Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion. The series' 25 episodes have been condensed into this shorter release for easy viewing.
Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion presents an interesting alternate universe vision of history, a world in which the British Empire never lost power and in fact grew stronger and more authoritarian. Written and directed by Okouchi Ichiro and Taniguchi Goro respectively, Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion is a sci-fi action mecha steeped in historical complications, political powerplays, and moral dilemmas. Featuring character designs from CLAMP, the innovative anime revolves around a cunning and rebellious young man with supernatural powers who straddles the lines of good and evil in his quest to bring down the Holy Britannia Empire.
Seventeen-year-old Britannian Lelouch is a student at the elite Ashford Academy in Area 11, formerly Japan. Ambitious and intelligent, he is actually the son of the Emperor of Britannia. He fell out with the royal family after the Emperor failed to defend his mother and sister Nunnally during an attack that left the former dead and the latter crippled. After the colonization of Japan, Lelouch vows to fight the Holy Britannia Empire, both to avenge his mother and to bring balance to the world once more. The only people who know his true identity are the Ashord family and his long-time friend Suzaku, the son of Japan's last prime minister and a member of the Britannia military. After Lelouch receives the power of Geass from the mysterious C.C., he forms the rebel group Order of Black Knights. As ruthless freedom fighter Zero, Lelouch is determined to bring down the Empire, no matter the sacrifices.
