Seki-Ray (Single) (Japan Version)

October 27, 2007 Gackt never fails. This, while old in Gackt's career, is one of the milestones of his musical prowess, and an obvious testement to his perfectionism. The main song is pretty much the same as it was on Rebirth, and the instrumental speaks for itself, but the REAL gem on this album is the beautiful WONDERFUL strings version of Seki-rei. Don't be fooled like I was when first buying this, because it is not the song sung with an orchestral remix. It's much much better. Listen carefully: that's a full orchestra Gackt is working with. This orchestration has an almost Malice Mizer sound to it, while still being pure and undisputedly Gackt in its sound. even if you don't like Seki-rei as a song, trust me, this single is worth every penny for the string version alone.

October 27, 2007 amazing buy!
Ryu is a completely new artist (to me) and yet another to join the ranks of "Ballad Kings". He doesn't have the best vocal mechanics, and the lyrics in this single are somewhat coarse and hard to relate to, but he has a wonderful voice, and it is VERY evident that he will only improve with experience.

October 27, 2007 So much in Love
This is amazing!!! PURE talent, and a beautiful voice. the orchestrations are simple but effective for the lyrics. The Lyrics themselves made me cry the first time I heard them. I'd sincerely recommend this to a friend.

February 14, 2006 it's goodThis was my first Gackt album and my introduction into his world.I was raised with old music, Classical and such, and my first singer was Barbra Streisand, so I thoroughly enjoyed this album. The people who give it bad reveiws don't understand the beautiful emotions that an acoustic song can have that more technical "rock" songs lack. Gackt is able to make every violin chord, every guitar strum, and every note ooze with emotion and love and attention that only he can give to his songs. This is an album all Gackt fans must have, and also a good introduction to him for fans of older music.

Eien (Japan Version)
February 14, 2006 WonderfulShunichi has a rare ability, the ability to make you listen to every song of his again and again, and still love every song as equally as the next. This is very evident in this single. both Eien and it's B-side (can someone romanize the name for us non-Japanese speaking fans?) flow into each other beautifully, yet both song fits into it's own place. Shunichi used an electric guitar in these songs, something new and different from his last single, however he uses them sparingly and fittingly, something I appreciate very much. I hope the best for shunichi's future and eagerly await his next release

Saigo no kiss (Normal Edition)(Japan Version)

February 14, 2006 a true angelIn America we have Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, and Michael Feinstein. All of equal and immense talent and lyrical grace. All three together only begin to equal Shunichi Miyamoto's talent. His voice is perfect in pitch and tone, and his range is one that most male singers only dream of. The heart felt emotion he puts into each song only heightens the experience of listening to him. In this single shunichi exhibits how wide his musical ability spreads. Starting first with a heart-tearing ballad, Saigo no Kiss, then jumping into a dance-ish almost Latin styled number which reminds me in melody of Frank Sinatra. I cannot wait to see what other surprises Shunichi has in store for us, but I know that he will always keep ups happy with his beautiful song and beautifully simple soul.
