    I have heard all of Stephy's albums except her 2'nd one..but so far, this one is the best to me. She seemed to put more emotion into her songs when she started off solo...at least, i think so! I don't really think she's improving, but losing quality instead. =/ it's a shame because she has such a beautiful voice!! I do like Stephy Tang because she has alot of potential..I just wish she would come out of the box a bit. She's very creative though as a person and she's very cute but that doesn't show at all in her music. There's also too many ballads and I don't think that suits her well. >_< This is all just my oppinion though!!

    I do like the songs though and there's some lovely ballads!! =D I just hope that one day Stephy will use her talent to its full potential and add some personality & flavor to her music!

     This is really, really great... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
    Well, I had never once heard Cookies or Stephy sing, so this CD was a complete shot in the dark for me. But, it looked interesting so I thought I'd try it. And I am so glad I did! I love her voice...sweet and pure, yet strong and rich. I also love the slight acoustic feel to this CD. The songs are really pared down to basically piano and/or guitar and reveal the beauty of her songs and singing. Although the album over-all is wonderful and a must-buy, there are still high points and low points on it (just as with almost any CD...). Track #1, in English is actually very nice. The vocal range on it is amazing and the ups-and-downs of her singing is melodic and lovely. Tracks #2 and #3 are both stellar and showcase powerful vocals and strong lyrics and tunes. Track #4 is the only one with a tiny hint of R&B flavor to it, which is not my favorite style, but Stephy stills sings well on this track. Track #5 is the most noticeably weak vocal track on the CD. I don't know why, but she sounds like she is struggling a bit with this song. Track #6 is still on the weaker side of her excellent vocals, but nice. Tracks #7 and #8 are truly great and again, the perfection of Stephy's vocals and lyrics shine through. Track #9 is probably my favorite because it's the most up-tempo on a relatively serene CD and quite catchy. Very, very nice. Track #10 is simply lovely in it's bare elegance of only her singing and a lone piano. A brilliant way to end any CD, especially such an impressive solo debut. I will be buying MUCH more by Stephy in the future. She should have a long and profitable career ahead with her talent. I just LOVED this CD purchase and I know I will listen to it a lot. It's my style...mellow and relaxing, but stylish and never boring. She reminds me vocally on some songs of Stefanie Sun and musically on most songs of Vicki Zhao-Wei. But, she's still unique and the effect of this CD is intriguing. Again, the engaging songs and beauty of her voice are perfect for the songs that are basically acoustic in nature and not at all trendy and trumped-up. Just bare bones and Stephy's ability. You can't go wrong with this purchase at all.

    Most of the songs in 'Coloring Stephy' are good. This does not happen a lot of times for local hk artists. Her record company obviously did an excellent job in choosing songs for Stephy's solo debut. Also it is a great idea to re-sung some of Stephy's old tunes with completely new arrangements. The effect is nothing but splendid.

    The essay book, photos and keychains included in the CD are fun little gadgets. But the 'meat' will be the excellent melodies that grace this album by the former Cookies member. 'Coloring Stephy' is a must-buy for anyone who enjoys soothing sound and cantonese pop-tunes. Which color will you get?

    When part of Cookies, I thought Stephy was just a pretty face and a sweet singer - I was all about Kary, although Stephy, with her solo debut has truly shined towards me. Outdoing herself, but not only writing the lyrics to half of the songs, but almost composing one of the tracks too. Stephy's voice has matured since Cookies (onyl half a year ago) and now being solo she has a chance to shine and amazed me with these vocals I never knew she had. I was disappointed with the repeated songs, basically filler tracks, although some of the newer rendition are more outstanding than the originals. The first track "Colors" is sweet and Stephy suprised me with her perfect pronounciation with the english language! More english songs please XD. As far as value goes, this is worth buying. Coming with a photobook of Stephy which also has messages from Stephy, a key ring of Stephy (Mimo), Coupons for hair and beauty (ROFL) and photo cards - this is excellent. I look forward to Stephy's future releases!

    This solo debut album is, in fact, a good beginning for Stephy's musical career. She has also written lyrics for several songs, which shows her other talent. However, her emotional techniques are a bit too plain. In my opinion, a good song is a combination of not just good lyrics, good melody, good composition and a good singer, but also a singer with good management of his/her emotional techniques as well, not reading lyrics, but to sing and understand lyrics. I give a 7 because of her talent as a lyricist.
