a simple love story but very well directed. It has a good ending that is a flash back when the two first came to HK going their separate ways, but run into each other several times, indicating that these two were fated to be together.

To me, a great movie does not require great dialogue. The body language and facial expression tells it all in this movie. The script and soundtrack round off a perfect cinematic experience.

Oh yea, although the hard subtitle and lack of menu may turn off the more technically inclined, but to me that just brings back nostalgic feelings of the past.

Must watch with your loved one.

This is an extremely touching and also funny movie dealing with love and all it's complications. The immigrant experience adds to the depth and beauty of the film.

This film is very nice and calm, Leon looks really nice in this film.
i would recommend to all the poeple that like leon acting and all the people that don't.

Best Maggie's work ever Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I've seen it twice when i got it for the first time. I only regret that I didn't see it years before. Very romantic and touching. The story is so original and well made by American standard, I think. The best Maggie's work so far. It depicts how complex and interesting someone's life/love could be. I really recommend this movie to anyone who is bored with hollywoodized storyline.

Nice movie, poor release Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
A good break away from other kinds of movies that are out there today. It's story is simple and real. The only bad part is Mei Ah...the company that made this DVD. The quality is poor, the subtitles come off, no extras, and most importantly I had problems playing my DVD. It skipped for like ten minutes towards the end which was really distracting and frustrating, I wasn't even sure if it would finish playing at all. Other than that, my favorite scene is the very very last one. Good film, everyone should see

A love story for all times Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Being born to an immigrant house hold and seeing first hand the toils and labor that my parents went through made this movie espeically touching and heartfelt. The joys and heartache portraited in the story are so real to someon who has experienced it like me, yet at the same time is unfantomable to others like like my American girlfriend. Sitting down and watching this movie served to bridge that gap between us, to explain those inexplainable feelings with the emotions and expressions of Leon and Maggie. More than words can ever hope to do.

One of the most non-love story,love stories of all time! Twists and turns and a great ending to boot! Great for that night alone with someone special.Leon and Maggie are great!! Deserves more attention in America!
