One man, one Cow, together against the world. Crazy Stone funnyman Huang Bo milks both humor and tragedy in the blockbuster wartime black comedy Cow. Nominated for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor at the 46th Golden Horse Awards, the quirky yet affecting film, which competed in the Horizons section of the 66th Venice Film Festival, is the first feature from Sixth Generation director Guan Hu (Dirt) in five years. Based on a Shandong oral legend, Cow revolves around a peasant who puts his life on the line to protect a cow during the turmoil of the Sino-Japanese war.

Hardy farmer Niu'er (Huang Bo) has been assigned by the army to take care of the village's Dutch dairy cow. Though he's not so enthused with the task, he takes it close to heart, and a great bond slowly forms between him and the cow. Even after the entire village gets wiped out, he stubbornly continues to protect his dear companion, fending off Japanese soldiers, opportunistic thugs and hungry refugees alike.

This edition comes with a collector's stamp and a bonus disc containing outtakes, making of, and trailer.
