    January 24, 2006 Best movie of 2005??? Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
Hard Gritty Cop Drama? Check! Over the top vigilante action from borderline rogue cops? Check! A style evoking the early 90's cop dramas? None!!
...SPL, while featuring all the traits of the hard edged cop dramas from nearly a decade ago, achieves in style only. Did anyone miss all the cliche characters?? The Crime Boss who knows kun fu (Sammo), his right hand man whose some super ninja assassin, the pointless plothole of the brain damaged janitor?? What does it all play out to? A movie about hard edged cops battling a poor story while providing decent yet nonsensical action. Wheres my infernal Affairs???

January 23, 2006 Kyle Reese From Terminator!! Customer Review Rated Bad 0 - 0 out of 10
Yes, what a brilliant casting decision, hire the guy from terminator to play the evil bad guy who has some personal beef with a triad leader and the Dragon Squad is called into action!

The whole movie is just wrong, from the stilted acting, to the cheesy romance between Kyle Reese and a girl far too young for him, and all that pointless camera work where the director jsut loves to Zoom pointlessly into windows, doors and tires...

What more needs to be said? Watch it if you like predictable, poorly acted, and badly editted action sequences all loosely tied together by a nonexistant plot.
