  • December 7, 2011 Thank god for the girl's Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I must admit, I almost gave up on this half way through. Rain's unfunny overacting got quite irritating and his character is so arrogant, fake and unlikable, everything he did was for him to be the centre of attention either as a hero or as a tortured soul, you didn't care if he lived or died. Unfortunately, his rival, the doctor was so dull and uncharismatic, I very nearly lost interest. The ony things that kept it together were the four leading ladies. Kong Hyo Jin is far and away the true star of this show, she was absolutely superb as she carried this all the way on her shoulders with a sweet, loveable, yet powerful performance. Credit must also be given to Hong Soo Hyun who was excellent as the villian of the piece (you wanted to shout "Boo!! Hiss!!" everytime she showed up), Jung Ae Ri was great as the regretful mother and Song Min Joo was incredibly cute as Rain's daughter. Whilst the story is very predictable, the slapstick comedy very unfunny and intrusive and the majority of the characters scum you wouldn't give the time of day, it is worth watching just for the girl's. I would have only give this an 4 stars but I felt that would be an injustice to Kong Hyo Jin who deserved all 5 stars on her own.

November 20, 2011 Oh dear Customer Review Rated Bad 0 - 0 out of 10
This would have been a lot better if someone else had have played the Dennis O'Neil role, to be honest this would have been better if a jar of pickled onions had have played the Dennis O'neil role. It wasn't just that his acting (if you could call it that) was terrible, he was just the dullest spy you could ever imagine, you actually wanted a passing satellite to drop out of the sky and land on his head to alleviate the boredom. Nam Sam Mi just sleepwalked through her role and gave the impression that she'd rather be at home doing the ironing than appearing in this piffle. The rest of the cast were adequate I suppose but the story was so pointless that unless you're a teenage girl with an adolescent crush on plankton so boring that all the other plankton refuse to let it join in at playtime, I fail to see how this could appeal to anyone. Watch any other Kdrama (even the ones with the dreadful Park I'm just going to shout all my lines Shin Yang in) they are all better.

  • April 21, 2011 Top notch Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is possibly the best Korean drama I've seen. An absolutely terrific performance from Shin Min Ah, I went from hating Mi Ho in the first few episodes when she's just like a petulant brat to loving her when she tried to become human. So sweet and honest, it was impossible not to fall in love with her. I've never seen Lee Seung Gi in anything before but he did a good job, playing it rather tongue in cheek which worked well. Seong Dong Il was also great in a supporting roles as a Chow Yun Fat obsessed director.
My only gripe is the second disc, episodes 4-6 are full screen for some strange reason.
