Hong Kong's evergreen super idol Connie Chan Po Chu returns to the stage after 1999's A Sentimental Journey, 2000's Red Boat, and 2006's Only You in her first contemporary stage comedy Crazy for Her. Entertaining fans in 26 performances at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in January 2009, the much-beloved actress stars alongside Bill Chan Shek Sau, Lee Heung Kam, Candice Yu On On, and Cheung Kwok Keung in a production tailor-made for her.
Written, directed, and produced by multi-talented media personality Kam Kwok Leung, Crazy for Her puts Connie in the familiar role of a superstar of the 1960s, who retires at the height of her popularity but regrets the decision when she feels lonely. Connie exudes her unique charm playing a "Movie Fan Princess" through the decades, from a teenager to her golden 50s, as she replays the life, career, and romances of a character that closely resemble hers.
The DVD includes making-of and rehearsal footage, and comes with a photo booklet.
