I didn't think Gackt could be any better, then I h
| Gackt is the only Japanese artist I buy retail because I believe his albums are worth dishing out $ for. All the other Japanese artist make you pay 30 40 bucks for 3 songs and five remixes of the same three songs, and these aren't even single albums. But Gackt ALLWAYS put so much in to his albums with the songs and the CD cases. Hes 100% completely Original. He writes all of his songs and composes his own music. He plays all of the piano parts and his voice is one of the most AMAZING voices Ive ever heard. I can not tell how much this newest CD ROCKS! It rocks HARD CORE! Thats how much it rocks and then some. Gackt is the MAN! Oh my GOD! It blew me away. Its Gackt in all of his glory. Each song absolutely unique and beautifully fantastic. Gackts Gorgeously spectacular voice singing in perfect harmony with the universe. Gackt has absolutely Outdone himself. The first track Dybbuk is my favorite. Something COMPLEATLY new that Gackt hasn't tried before. It has some rap verse with Honest to god Head Banging Metal Rock and space tecno. He pulls it off, I swear to god. Such an awesome track and sets the mood for the rest of the album. ^_^ Buy it! Buy It Now! You MUST Have this album. ^_^ |

Moon's successor!
| Pardon me, but I wasn't a big fan of Mars. Instead I found myself really attached to Gackt's previous album, Moon. Oddly enough I thought of this album to be tilted more towards a ballad/alternative nature than rock. Dybbuk made me fall over my chair when I heard those two raspy voices rapping. My confusion fell into instant love once Gackt joined in. Shifting to Mind Forest, I ended up liking that song as well. I mean, talk about original! I found myself having "deja vu" experiences with the rock track, Lust for Blood. The guitar sequences remind me too much of a popular American rock song...can't put my finger on it at the moment. It's still good nonetheless; I'm just bothered by how familiar it sounds. Birdcage...wow. It's by far my favorite song in Crescent. I practically play that song a hundred times over. I just love how calm yet eccentric it sounds! It's the perfect song to dream to. I absolutely adore the closing track, Orange no Taiyo, featuring Hyde and Gackt. Their voices harmonized so beautifully together, ensuring a solid finish to this album. Even though it is over nine minutes long, I was lost in time with this song and I wanted it to be longer! Tsuki no Uta, Kimiga matte iru kara (track 4), Last Song, Hoshi no Una...I wish there was any other word other than "beautiful" to describe this album. I sure hope Gackt can keep proving that he's more than just a pretty face. |

Nice Voice, Good Stuff
| Sexy songs!!!, the "Last Song" is especially my favorite. I like it when the music rises in volume and speed like in an adrenaline. |

YAY
| Gackt's new album Crescent is an amazing and diverse collection of Gackt songs. The semi-rap Dybuk to the soothing guitar of Last Song. It's a must-have for Dears and casual Gackt fans alike! It even comes with the lyrics to bothe Crescent and Moon album. I really enjoyed it. Yay, Gackt! |

Gackt's best album since MARS
| Gackt's fourth album is probably his best yet since MARS. The album comprises of a wide variety of different tracks including songs from singles such as Tsuki no Uta, Last song, Solitary, etc. The album tracks are much more rock-sounding than the singles and brings about a nice balance to the album, and stays true to Gackt's rock style. Standout album tracks are Lust for Blood, Orenji no Taiyou (featuring HYDE), but the rest are just as impressive musically-wsie. The album is almost perfect but one flaw is that the flow of the album isn't very smooth, switching from ballads to rock songs almost too rapidly. Other than that, the album is a must-buy for Gackt or J-rock fans. |

Hearty completion of moon project - A must have!
|
"Crescent" album has been sincerely done! As a completion of the Moon project, the Crescent album by Gackt have included two lyric books - one for Crescent, one for the previous album "Moon" - This is a very insightful idea to specifically link the albums together. Although Gackt might have been going to his "pop style" in his released singles, his albums so far are more of his "original Gackt's j-rock style". It is obvious that he had put quite a lot of sincere efforts in the album. First track dybbuk are experimental as usual like all his other albums, rappings are weird for him but those werent his voice; tsuki no uta, solitary, hoshi no suna, last song - these are his emotional and touching songs; lust for blood, white eyes, birdcage - again emotional but with anger; kimi ga oikaketa yume is more pop so seems a bit unfit into the album; the last song of the album - "orenji no taiyou" puts the best end to "crescent" and the moon project: Gackt and Hyde's voices intervene so well with each other! though the duration is 9'10", you will never feel its long, because the song is so well-composed! "Crescent" album has been sincerely done! This is a must buy album of Gackt. |

Wonderful!!
| Album tracks combine with sad & rock melodies as Gackt's usual style as a solo. All of his 2003 singles are again remarkalbe in this album. The last track [Orange Sun] is a Must-Listen song, dual with Hyde, theme song of movie [Moon Child]. It's so great to hear both Gackt & Hyde singing together, their voices are so good making a wonderful match!! |

Gackt is Back ^O^;
| The great thing about Crescent is that is a perfect sequal to Moon. The connection Gackt needed to make was made, giving this new CD a feeling of closure. It even ends with a song about the sun and the word 'Sayonara'. Every song on here has something to it. The singles are of course very good, especially Tsuki no Uta, but the new ones do much more than fill gaps between tracks. :) This is a vast improvement over Moon, I believe, and I only give it less than a ten because i thought Rebirth and Mars were better than the new sound. |
