YesAsia Editorial Description

Nami is in the J-pop spotlight again.

Follow up last year's Graduation Singles release, Tamaki Nami invited Asakura Daisuke to create her new simple and carefree single. The composer/producer/arranger helped Nami to bring alive the sound of Cross Season, which is also theme of the NTV program series Sports Urugus.

Refreshing Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
When I first heard the review of "CROSS SEASON" I got really dissapointed. It got worse when I saw the pv, because her outfit is just plain horrible. After a while I just ignored everything and listened to the song anyway. It got me hooked after a couple of times and now I think it's a fun song. I just don't understand why the back-up vocals have been done by a whole country.

"i CAN FLY" is... bad. It reminded me of "Ready Steady Go!" (Speciality) and I thought that song was funny, assuming she would never record anything like that again. Now that the song's got it's own twin sister, I'm afraid that we will get a lot more b-sides like this.

The second b-side, "Lost and Found" is awesome in every way possible. It's one of the best rock songs I have heard since a very long time and the sales might have been better if this song would be the actual a-side.

The package was cheap. The glitter case for the first press edition really doesn't suit the cover. And the booklet is kind of small.

Overall, the single is okay. CROSS SEASON (plus it's instrumental) and Lost and Found make it worth buying. Just don't expect too much of the packaging.

love it Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
i think "cross season" is a good song it kinda suck that it wasnt a dvd package but the songs were okay the second you had to really listen to it for a while to get use to just like "ready steady go" on her "speciality" album and the case is beautiful with glitter and that picture of her is crazy!!!!!!! and i luv it so if you're a fan you should get it. a beginner fan might not appreciate it yet.with this single that is.

Interesting... Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
Okay when I first heard this single I admit I was like ehhhh, NO. I liked the instrumental of Cross Season better than Nami actually SINGING the song, which is sad.

Now I like Cross Season, however something still seems OFF about it, like they did something weird to her voice or the whole track in production and didn't fix it... it seems fuzzy or I don't know. It's hard to explain. Nami sounds a little TOO mellow in my opinion.

i CAN FLY tries to start off as a kind of 'punk-Shania-Twain' song, however it sounds more like it belongs in a musical gone bad... I still just don't like it at all.

The best song is Lost and Found, it's more of an upbeat song and more typical 'anime song' like you're used to hearing from Nami, but not over the top.

I like the more elegant-grown up image of Nami that was going in Sanctuary, the image in her new view is just HORRID, with a pleather skirt, hat, tie, hooker boots, and even garter straps accompanied by a showing pink petticoat, like Nami, PLEASE, HOW IS THIS 'care free'

However, if you're a rabbit Nami-fan you won't listen to a thing I say and buy it anyways...this was her first non-top 20 single... disappointing, but not completely worthless.
