Help Topics
- What is H-DVD? What is XDVD?
H-DVD and XDVD are higher compression DVD formats which store more information per DVD disc than standard DVDs, while using the same basic techonology. As the files are more compressed, the video and sound quality of the stored media is usually lower. H-DVD and XDVD can be played on most standard DVD players, and comply to the same limitations regarding Region Coding and NTSC/PAL standards.
