中國清朝的光緒六年，醫藥世家白府和官宦世家詹府，由於詹府大格格一對私生女的糾紛而結下深仇，兩家藉機互相傾軋，私生女的生父武貝勒拋棄了詹府大格格，白府則成了宮中矛盾的替罪羔羊，"百草廳"老藥舖被查封，老太爺白萌堂死去，全府陷入絕境……
