REALLY GOOD K-DRAMA Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This K-Drama is my latest one to watch and I was very impressed with it. Also had some familiar faces in it. The story centers around a major counterfeiting operation trying to be shut down. However, it also goes deep into Chae Ok's past bringing to light many details on her early life. One of the many things to enjoy was the heart wrenching story that's also filled with intrigue and lots of action blended in for a 14-episode roller coaster ride that you just can't put down. And even more so, was their detail added into the plot on the importance and stresses of social status during these times. It's quite amazing how small things like who your parents are can affect a person's life and treatment to such an extreme. Chae Ok is an incredible woman during these times as she stands up to everyone and everything even during the hardest and most severe circumstances. I'd also like to add that the English Subtitles are extremely impressive. Very perfect without any errors I've found. The packaging comes as two plastic disk boxes inside a slipcase cardboard box. The first plastic box has the first 3 DVDs in it and the 2nd has the final 4 Disks. There's 2 episodes on each disk at a full 60 minutes per episode. The cardboard box that holds them both is very thick and hard and all well decorated. It's more than obvious that this set was really made well to REALLY last. Totally worthevery penny. I Highly Recommend It!!
Some other great ones I've seen which I'd recommend as well are Jumong, The Kingdom Of The Winds, The King & I, Dae Jang Geum and also Athena Goddess of War.

Not one to be missed Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Heartwrenching and affecting...this is easily one of the best Korean period pieces that I have ever encountered. It takes your heart along with the emotional roller coaster, until the end when it just tears your heart apart shamelessly and throws the pieces back at you.

The only two real nit-picks about this drama are the action sequences. Don't miss this. You won't regret it.

very disappointing Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
This is not one of the very bad Korean dramas but it is not at all an interesting one. Ha Ji Won utterly failed to impress while Kim Min Joon has yet to do something presentable. I don't like the swivel method of scenes when fightings were involved. I thought there would be lots of cases to solve but instead the whole series was concentrating on investigating illegal coins. Even the very experienced Lee Moon Sik could not lift the dull atmosphere of this unmoving drama.

I CANNOT rave enough! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I started watching this through Aznv.tv after watching a remake done by the Kpop group, SHINee. I was expecting it to be fantastic, but I ended up being completely blown away. This drama is EPIC. From the gorgeous and amazing soundtrack that combines modern with traditional to the script and characters, I was in love with all of it, and still am.

My confidence in the screenwriter(s) was so great, I even asked my family to purchase this for me for Christmas, and told myself I would buy it even if they didn't. It did end up under the tree, and I am euphoric that this drama is the first in a collection that will only grow larger. I am pleased with everything - the DVDs (each has a gorgeous, high-quality picture on it), the lovely box, and the drama itself - but especially with the Reference Guide. Not only does it help clarify characters should you get confused (I admit that I did a little), but I am also a culture and language geek, thus I was fascinated with the new things that I learned while reading it.

Because of this drama, I have the urge to stray away from the normal modern romantic comedies I usually watch, and venture into the world of period dramas. If you are a fan of Damo or any of the actors, you absolutely MUST add this boxed set to your shelves! It may spark in you a love for the passionate and beautiful characters portrayed by Ha Ji Won and Kim Moon Joon, as it did in me.

A Wonderful Drama...but... Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Such an enchanting music for the opening of this drama. Let me commend you on this beautiful packaged and surperb english subtitled drama (US version). Thank you.

Though I enjoyed most of this drama, I would've liked the true family relationship between Jang Chae Ok and Jang Sung Baek revealed a little earlier than it did, and not in quite that fashion . It would've been such a tearjerking moment to it's audence (IMO).

Finally, I did not like how it ended, but, I would certainly recommend it to others.

Must see...must own... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This drama is one that everyone who is k-drama fan to own & watch. It doesn't matter if you are a fan of Lee Seo Jin (who isn't?) or Ha Ji Won (she is very very good).

This drama is so moving & so beautiful in every way that I have watched it several times. The acting by all is wonderful. I can honestly say that I can't see anyone else playing any of the roles that are played by the actors. I normally have someone else in mind for other dramas but not this one.

The OST for the drama is a must have & listen to. Every track is moving. The main theme song sung by 5WHO is amazing...the main singer is an actor who has been in Single & Fabulous, To Marry a Millionair, & currently in 3 Daddies & 1 Mom (the father of the child who dies early). He can rock!!!!

I recommend this drama to not only to women but to men & young teens & up.

An Unforgettable Story Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a heartwrenching drama about two great leaders whose destinies were forever altered because of their love for one woman. The theme song that is played throughout the drama is absolutely beautiful. What makes a good drama for me is one that lingers in my mind after I finished watching it. This one certainly does it.

ONE OF THE BEST DRAMA Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Great love story and really strong ending... i thought that this drama was really worth watching and buying... it had a great storyline in my opinion although i kind of thought that the ending could've been better but i guess that was a way for the three of them be together. I like one of the lead actors lee seoo jin and was moved by his acting in LOVERS. when i saw this i thought that i might check it out and see if it was good and it was really satisfying to watch this. actors were great as well as the sword fights.for the korean drama fans out there this drama is a must to be watch.

Above Average Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Ok..first off Im a hard critic and have high expectations. After reading the reviews here and notice a high percentage of good reviews I decided to purchase this series. Well in short...it did not make my "Favorites List." For the most part the movie felt like it wasn't written very well. Only during the last couple of dvd's that it got complex and interesting. Like most series unfortunately. And I would have to agree that the falling in love with brother(they didn't know) did not help the story line. Why couldn't they have been childhood friends or cousins with different last names or something??? To put it bluntly the feeling was kind of "sick." *Spoiler*I also noticed some plot holes. When the Rebel leader was taking out her bullet and said "She will be ok." She was suposed to be a guy in disguise so they would have known their cover has been blown. Also he took off her shirt so obviously they would assume he knows that she is a girl. And latter when she found the little hair tie on him...i thot she would recognize it's her's? Tho the Damo was the heroine of the movie...it seemed to me she was the one causing all the trouble. I just rate this movie above average. I would not purchase the movie. Just rent it our borrow it.

Great Series Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This is the first K-drama period series that I've seen and I was so pleasantly surprised by it. I thought it would be boring and that I wouldn't be able to relate to it or understand it but was I wrong. It was such a beautiful series and has come to be one of my favorites. This series will make you cry and it'll break your heart but you'll be so happy that you've watched it.
