MUST WATCH!!
|
This is a Great, Funniest Movie I ever seen!! Espeically when Andy pretended Leslie Cheung!! So realistic! And I am so impressed about each actor's dancing skills!! I think they DID great work on this movie! Just one thing I would like to say about the ending.. it is little confused for me... so Andy likes Sandra as well?? or ..what? But over all, I loved it! Highly recommanded! |

dance of a dream?
|
i bought this film in part because i like 2 watch dancing; however, there r very few dance scenes and most of those r hard 2 see because of soft lighting and although good r not really the "dances of dreams" andy lau is a good actor but his role is never developed and his talent doesnt shine through. the ending is good though with sandra ng looking feminine and "ho leng". just goes 2 show any woman can look lovely when she wants 2. worth a look in if youve got nothing better 2 do or if youre learning cantonese and at this price who cares? |

Dancing Queen...

i am a fan of Anita Mui named Jessie Phua. I love to watch this show 'Dance of a Dream'! This VCD is fantastic! She dances like a natural & marvellous 'competiton' dancer especially when she dances with Andy Lau, she looked so elegant!!! She has a real talent in dancing... I hope i can hear more of Anita Mui's music...I already have 3 of this VCD, it's worth buying!!! |

I like this movie!

It's a really funny movie. I really liked it. Andy Lau and Sandra are very good dancers. Edison Chen looks really cute even though he doesn't appear much in the movie. |

NEH....

This movie had a great plot and great ideas..but the cast that was chosen to play these roles seem to be a little bad. This movie captured the innocence of first love..but it was known that that characters were in their mid 30s-mid 40s. That was disappointing. If they chose a mature young-generation to play it, it would have been better. I love the idea of Sandra's love for Andy. Her love for him was so strong, to the point that, when she knew that they were making fun of her at the end, she still stepped out and danced her final dance with Andy. The ending was too abrupt...almost like, " Oh no...we've used up our 1 and a half hours...CUT". It was disappointing in the way that it was done like those movies with the ending , " It was all a dream". The jokes at the end was cruel. Sandra's performance was brilliant...she captured every emotion there was. Andy played a aiight role..it wasn't the best..his character never quite developed. Anita owned her role as the rich snob. She did a fantastic job. Edison had a small cameo but his screen prescene was very needed. It sure kept me through the whole movie. |

A pleasant surprise
|
I think I found the first gay movie that Andy Lau stars in. The gay theme is very subtle, but we can't deny the relationship that he has with his studio partner, and I think nobody can ignore the fact that in the money he has no actual relationship with the two lead actresses. The critic from Ming Pao sort of complained that there was no resolution of his relationship with the rich and the poor girls. How wrong he was - there was no relationship. His role is a gay dance teacher. And both women were blindly having their fantacies and dreams. Hence the title. I like this movie. There were some scenes that made it so different from the typical comedies from Hong Kong. The director wanted to show a more natural side of Sandra, and had some scenes that really made her a star to show off her acting skill. Sandra over acted a bit, but Andy was good. |

THis is a very bad movie
|
THis is one of the worst movies i have seen. I think Andy Lau is a great actor but this movie really had no sense of direction. It really didn't make sense, and it dragged on and on for no reason. It had some funny moments but not worth it at all. |
