이번 다비치의 ‘Love delight’ 앨범은 전해성 작곡가의‘안녕이라고 말하지마’, 박해운 작곡가의 ‘HAPPY END’, 환상의 콤비 김기범 강지원 작곡가의 ‘사랑 사랑아’, 최규성 작곡가의 ‘다신 찾지마’와 작곡가로 처음 발을 내딛는 다비치 멤버 ‘강민경’의 첫 작품 ‘비밀’등을 수록, 총 6트랙으로 구성하였다.

다비치의 [Love delight] 앨범에서 다비치는 작곡가 전해성의 작품 ‘안녕이라고 말하지마’를 타이틀 곡으로 선택하여 팬들에게 선보인다. ‘안녕이라고 말하지마’는 세련된 현악기와 피아노 선율이 조화를 이루는 미디움 템포의 곡이다. 이 곡에서 이해리의 애절하면서도 호소력 있는 목소리와, 강민경의 감성적인 목소리가 완벽한 조화를 이루어, 떠나가는 연인에 대한 사랑의 마음을 다비치만의 색깔로 담아, 올 가을 팬들에게 그 동안 보여주지 않았던 새로운 감동을 선사할 예정이다.

It’s been a while since I’ve listened to Min Kyung and Hae-ri but no doubt these two ladies of Davichi sing their hearts out on “Love Delight”, their 3rd mini album release and soar with great vocal passion and emotion. The songs are well balanced with some quite strong tempo melodies amidst the ballad types, especially the powerful RnB “Love, My Love” and certainly 5 familiar songs you’d associate with Davichi. The main new plug “Don’t Say Goodbye” is an orchestral laden RnB with a powerful chorus part that also touches on lounge (or easy listening) and even a slight bit that reminded me of a James Bond opening song. It’s a powerful song with attention stealing vocals by the two girls. “Love, My Love” could becomes the most played on this CD. The most poppiest of the bunch, a dance-ballad RnB with again a lounge feel, Tyrolean elements and a very strong and powerful vocal chorus and melody. “Don’t Find Me Again” begins as a slow ballad intro, but again you’re soon within a strong powerful passionate melody and vocals. “Happy End” brightens up the sorrow with a more upbeat song and “Secret”, written by Min Kyung, is the most touching ballad on the album. Okay, “Love Delight” is familiar trodden musical territory and derivative, but it’s a very good one. And Davichi belt it all out with true passion.

Davichi may seem to not exert in the loud flamboyant stakes of K-pop (although do have powerful lungs) but have lovely songs written for them, which always seem to compliment strongly Davichi’s powerful vocal style. The music is moderate but crescendos with passion and if you’ve loved Davichi’s powerful ‘crying’ ballads and Swedish type melodies before, you know what to expect and should like this one. Davichi do seem to have a sound of their own (with variation of course – different music styles and open ended) and being sort of unique in themselves, can be proud of these songs and their singing. "Love Delight" is very good, albeit a derivative RnB soul power ballad music collection (its ever difficult to write new songs I’m sure), but another good achievement under the belt, and its not really that important to have to be on top of the ‘charts’ to be always valid. People can always enjoy Davichi’s songs (when No 1s aren't necessary), and that’s more important I think. In maturity the energy of youthful music is appreciated differently, and in hindsight Davichi, I’m sure, wouldn’t swap the vocation of the gift of giving music for anything else.
