Half a year after their third album Virgin Air, Taiwan alternative rock band Echo releases a new EP called DAY 1, which consists of a CD and a DVD. Besides two studio-recorded new songs Day 1 and "Playwright", the CD offers three live tracks (including a new song inspired by the works of Mishima Yukio) recorded on April 9, 2011 at Legacy Taipei, the final stop of the band's Virgin Air livehouse tour. Those three live clips, together with the performance of a remixed version of Dear John (featuring MC HotDog) and concert backstage footage, are found in Full HD-quality video format on the accompanying data DVD (playable on a computer only).
