Maverick director Takashi Miike takes his Dead or Alive formula and further twists it for Dead or Alive Final, a sequel that's not really a sequel, but is perhaps something more. It is the year 2346, and Yokohama, Japan is ruled by a homosexual dictator named Woo (Richard Cheung). Thanks to the help of hard-ass enforcer Honda (Japanese V-Cinema kingpin Riki Takeuchi), Woo has Yokohama under his total control, and is attempting to force-feed a birth-control drug to the population that will end procreation! Enter a group of ultra-cool rebels, led by Fon (Hong Kong actor Terence Yin). With cyborg Ryo (Dead or Alive alumnus Sho Aikawa) and his girlfriend Jun (award-winning actress Josie Ho) at his side, Fon attempts a takedown of Yokohama's megalomaniacal dictator! Fusing science-fiction, Japanese V-Cinema, Hong Kong action films, and probably the kitchen sink, Dead or Alive Final is a postmodern genre cocktail on steroids from the incomparable Takashi Miike!
