July 9, 2001 CoCo Lee: The Best of My Love (Sony/Epic)
This is a pretty decent CoCo Lee collection. I like CoCo's style and her lyrics, but I kinda like A-Mei Chang's singing better (in Mandarin). People often call CoCo Lee Wan the Mariah Carey of Asia. I think not! I like Mariah Carey better, because she can sing better than CoCo, but Mariah's new style is ordinary and it is annoying. People even go as far as saying that CoCo sounds better than Christina Aguilera. I DON'T THINK SO! Altogether, CoCo Lee is a very decent singer and I do like her. I just don't think that she can sing better than Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey & Nelly Furtado like many people choose to think!

July 9, 2001 Anita Mui: Anita's 45 (Capital Artists)
Anita Mui is the #1 Chinese pop singer on my list! The girl can sing her butt off! I just wish that there was an original version for 'Secret Lovers'. Also, the 1st disc has several live in concert songs. Altogether, this is a great anthology. I have all 3 of Anita Mui's 2CD Anthologies. The first one, 'Love Songs' could have been a bit better (based on the 2nd disc). Anita just ended her 18-year contract under Capital Artists records. I wanna see her in 'Wu Yen'. ANITA MUI IS HOT, HOT, HOT!

July 8, 2001 Jacky Cheung: 24K Gold Boxset (Polydor)
Jacky Cheung rocks! This boxset has all of his songs from 1985-1993. This is THE best buy. I just wish that there were photos of Jacky in the booklet. This is the only decent collection of Jacky's songs. His '15' anthology is filled with remixes, and previously unreleased tracks. I still have that, for those songs. The best Cheung Hok-Yau collections are this one, '15', and 'Love Letter Collection'. Jacky is like a male version of Faye Wong. His style changes sometimes, alotta rumors spread about the two artists, both are on the wonderful PolyGram records, both changed record companies around the Y2K, etc... Faye Wong just haven't made enough record as Jacky did. Anyway, this boxset has been out for almost 8 years. You need to pick this up. This is highly recommended and only for true music fans, like me, DeVoe F. Sizemore II.

July 8, 2001 Shirley Kwan: Shirley 32 Collection (Polydor)
Shirley Kwan was very talented. What happened to her? I like this anthology very much, but this is missing a few of her greatest songs, like most Anthologies do! Where's the song 'Ask' with her and Jacky Cheung??? I highly recommend this anthology, but the 'A Pair of Love Collection' is much better than this one. I love Shirley's picture on the front cover. Not only was she talented, she was beautiful and her songs are great! She sounds much better than some of these new female artists we hear, like Cecilia Cheung, GiGi Leung, etc... Pick this collection up while you still can, although 'A Pair Of Love Collection' is much better than this! Kwan Suk 'E, we miss you!

July 8, 2001 Sam Hui: 2 in 1 Anthology (Polydor)
I like Sam Hui. He has the best old songs from the 70s, besides Alan Tam & Leslie Cheung. This whole collection is filled with some great songs, although there are a few songs left out! Sam Hui is a pure legend!

July 4, 2001 I wish...
I wish that this collection was no longer out of print! This 2CD set has all of Andy Lau's greatest love songs from the late 80s to the early 90s. This collection is still missing some great songs, but again, this was a great anthology. Although the artwork was horrible, the songs make up for it. Andy Lau's new songs are terrible, and I don't bother with them. I wish PolyGram Records made more copies of this.

June 26, 2001 Leon Lai- The Red Shoes
Leon Lai always has known how to keep his fans begging for more of his music, like fiends! I have 2 Leon Lai Anthologies. I hear that his 'DNA Mistake' CD is no longer made and I have been wanting that album for so long! I heard most of this album and I just...I just love it. Especially the 1st song! LEON LAI, KEEP IT COMIN'!

June 21, 2001 WHOA!
This is a great anthology. I have just about every song on here already, on my 'A Fool in Love' anthology. This collection would have been a 10+++ if the song 'Summer of Love (I Go Crazy)' was on here! MAN. 'DNA Mistake' is on here. This collection is missing about 4-7 great songs by Leon Lai on here. I wish it had more better songs that I liked, but...It's OK. I give it a 9. LEON LAI ROCKS, BABY!

June 21, 2001 A-Mei Chang (Sherry Cheung) Is Awesome!
This female is talented. She is the best 'new' Chinese female artist. She's better than these other artists like GiGi Leung, Yuki Tsui, Elva So, etc... I believe she's better than CoCo Lee, if you ask me (No offense, CoCo). I love her melodies, what she sings about, her style...She can sing her butt off! I love the artwork on the disc and how it was manufactured! This also contains a big booklet of photos of A-Mei in concert! Only one minor problem with this collection; There could have been more songs in this collection (12-15 songs per disc). A-Mei Chang is RAD!

June 20, 2001 Sammi Cheng- 34 Best Choices
Sammi Cheng's new songs is not good! Her old songs, when she was singing under Capital Artists, are great! I have her Sound & Vision Collection, and it is awesome! When Sammi Cheng went to Warner Bros. records, she started to sound BAD! Sammi, what happened?

June 20, 2001 Aaron Kwok- 34 Best Choices
I think, there could have been more time put towards this collection! It's just like...a greatest hits 'throw-in'. They throw in songs. I doesn't make too much sense. And the artwork/album cover is terrible! I like most of the songs, but the collection could have been better. That's all there is to it! Also...I don't care for Aaron Kwok's older songs, like the ones from 1993-1995. I like his 'newer' stuff; from 1997-present. His voice and style are incredible, but this compilation...could have been better!

June 20, 2001 Alan Tam- PolyGram Anthology II
I like it! It is a great collection of his slow AND fast songs. Tam Wing Leong is a legend. A pure legend. I don't know who's better between him and Leslie. People often compare the two. Every song in this collection, I love. I love Alan Tam, period. I just feel that the artwork could have been better. I like the picture of Alan Tam, but the 2 in 1 sign could have been...confiscated! Overall, great songs, great collection; although most of the songs on Disc 1 were only 2-4 minutes (Put more songs on there)! Pick it up, while you still can!

June 20, 2001 Cheung Pak Ji
I love every song, just about! But HOW can this be? America would literally laugh at the Chinese/HK music industry if they knew that these record companies put out a Greatest Hits Compilation for an artist who has ONLY made 3 albums! That is just like the U.S. putting out a Greatest Hits album for Maxwell, and he's only done 3 albums; including an MTV Unplugged album; yet he's doing more albums! It's pathetic! Make ONE Anthology and make it right! I don't own this and I am glad that I don't. Cecilia Cheung, like Nicholas Tse, etc.., will make more albums in the future! So, when they come out with a 2CD set of all of their greatest hits, I will pick it up! Just be patient for a 2CD set. Don't be sooo quick to buy ANYthing! I LOVE the cover/artwork on Cecilia Cheung's new CD 'Party All The Time'. It is cool, but I am not sure how it sounds! I love the songs, but I will wait for a 2CD set to drop in the future!

June 20, 2001 Hey, I like it!
I've heard this album from a friend and I will say that it is acceptable. I like it. I think that most of the songs are slow and some are boring. Overall, it's good. Why didn't Jacky Cheung Hok-Yau stay on PolyGram/Universal records, though?! I know that this is THE best seller out right now. This has even sold millions of copies in Malaysia. Jacky is a good singer. He is talented; His new songs are much better than Andy Lau's new songs!
