I meant to say that 'Art is frozen music' in my previous review. Kyo's vocals are sweet and captivating. Don't take my words, get this CD to see for yourself! My favorite 5 stars tracks are:1,5,6,9,10,13 & 14. Tracks 4 and 8 are 4 stars.

A Pleasant Surprise! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I took the advise of LaLa and Ryon, and bought this CD. It's a pleasant surprise because I only expected 3 or 4 tracks to be my favorites, instead I have 7. I think that I'm slowly becoming Kyo and Dir en Grey's fan. The music in this CD is less dark than I had expected. My favorites tracks are their more 'mellow' ones. If 'music is frozen art', then Kyo's scream is analogues to Edvard Munch's 'The Scream' and Hide's is similar to Willem de Kooning's. I'm happy that Dir en Grey let me experience it! So, Ityale: Do you agree?

THE BEST! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is by far the best CD I have in my HUGE CD collection! My mom bought this for me, to make up for not letting me go to their "non-kid-friendly" concert. I popped the CD in the car and there wasn't a single song here that I didn't like. I absolutely loved the second track, C and SAKU was amazing, it just stuck to me like glue. This song more screaming than singing, but that's Kyo's specialty, right? Kyo sings beautifully in the song KODOKU NI SHISU, YUENI KODOKU. The melody will definately make you want to listen to it over and over again, and no, you will NEVER get sick of it, believe me. Moving on to track 6, it was the funniest song I have heard in my life. It was my irst time listening to it, and that was when I realized that like the whole song was in english XD. IT'S SOOO FUNNY! My mom and I couldn't stop laughing! He's trying to say Jesus Christ Rock and Roll, heehee, but it comes out like "Jeezu Cry, Uh, rOG N raw" Trust me you'll crack up, if you know English. It's still a good song, besides the vocals. It's amazingly catchy! I love when the chorus says, "Ominous Communication!" I luffs it soo much. You could say the song JESUS CHRIST R'n R is actually the best song on the whole CD! GARBAGE is pure Dir en Grey. I love it, when he yells, it actually has a neat tune to it, rather than just weird American bands screaming obliviously. This song might creep you out if you're like alone and it's night time. DEAD TREE was an eerie song, pure OMGOSHESS SCREAMING! Kyo's vocals are simply beautiful, it kinds reminds me of their visual-kei days. SPILLED MILK seemed sort of similare to the other songs for some reasons, but nonetheless, it's very catchy, I'm sure you'll feel like dancing crazily to it. KODOU is just.. when I first heard it, I felt like crying. I'm pretty sure it was about a suicidal kid.. I think Toshiya played as him in the PV... correct me if I'm wrong. Well, you've heard enough from me, now go and BUY IT! Get it at Strawberries Music Store and you can get it for $13!!

Different Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
Change isn't always a bad thing, but it's not always a good thing either. Most of the songs on this album I was able to like right away, but of course there are always some songs you'll have to listen to for a while before you start to like it and some you just won't like at all. I don't think they're getting Americanized or whatever, but they do scream alot more now like American music. It still doesn't sound the same. But think about it, they've been around for about 10 years and they're old enough to be some of our parents. I don't think anyone stays the same for that long, especially at that age (I'm not saying they're really old, they're just not kids anymore). I really like this album and appreciate it as much as their older stuff, but I do kinda wish for the old stuff more. Still a really good album.

Not my style, but I liked it. Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I usually don't listen to this kind of music and thought Dir en Grey was all "scream my head off, roar, metal, boom, boom"... well, very noisy. I have sensitive hearing, but my friends insisted that I'd try this album out and it was released on my birthday, so I gave it a shot. Dir en grey was what I expected, very noisy, thankfully there's an option in Itunes to turn the bass down, so my ears don't hurt. Some songs are very good, I really like "Marchiavellism", "Jesus Christ r'n'r", "Merciless Cult" and "The Final". Kyo, the singer, changes between singing and screaming, and his voice is so cool, I just love when he starts screaming. This CD was better than I expected.
