喜歡SQUARE-ENIX公司經典強作「FINAL FANTASY VII」的人應該都知道，本作品的後續發展正以多元化的方式展開。先前9月於日美發售的DVD作品「FINAL FANTASY VII Advent Children」為「FINAL FANTASY VII」結局之2年後的故事。而這次是又過了1年，也就是「FINAL FANTASY VII」結局之3年後的故事。不僅如此，主角也從Cloud變成Vincent，藉由熟悉卻又不同於前作主角的角色以及側面描寫，讓玩家能從不同角度欣賞「FINAL FANTASY VII」的世界觀，並同時在本遊戲中享受到跟以往不同的樂趣。
根據狀況活用不同的武器
主角Vincent在遊戲中的設定是神槍手，所以本遊戲中的武器當然就是鎗。遊戲中會出現許多種鎗，而玩家也要根據狀況來活用不同的武器。鎗類大致可分為3種，首先是可以快速行動以攻擊中距離敵人的手鎗，其次是對付近距離敵人相當有效的機關鎗，再者是可以在神不知鬼不覺得狀態下攻擊遠方敵人的來福鎗。根據狀況來思考並切換不同種類的鎗具，這考驗著玩家的臨場反應能力，刺激度相當高。
可以自由組裝鎗具
遊戲中除了有不同種類的鎗具之外，玩家也可以針對各部位零件進行改造組裝以提升能力，這項可以自由組裝的設定讓遊戲的樂趣增添了不少。可以自由改造的部位有5個，分別是鎗管、鎗托、瞄準器、彈藥、以及其他輔助配備。一開始的基本型是手鎗，但是經過調整改造之後，移動速度、攻擊力、射程等等數值會發生變化，活潑的自由度讓人能夠隨心所欲地改造為自己原創的鎗具。

3 years after the conclusion of Final Fantasy VII, a mysterious organization suddenly appeared and started to attack residents of the town. They are called “Deep Ground Soldiers”, who were stuck in the underground of Midgal city because of the Meteo incident. This game’s main character, Vincent Valentine seemed to be connected with this series of events but the reason was not clear. What happened underground over these past 3 years? Why was this tragedy happening? When the world is surrounded by darkness, Vincent’s gun will compose requiems…

Final Fantasy VII’s continuation new development
Gamers who like Square-Enix’s classic production “Final Fantasy VII” should know that there are many different developments to succeed the development of the game world, like the DVD production released in Japan and America earlier in September, “Final Fantasy Advent Children”, taking place 2 years after “Final Fantasy VII’s” conclusion. And now, another year has passed to make 3 years after “Final Fantasy VII”’s ending. Not only that, the main lead is now Vincent and not Cloud, using familiar but not the same main character and side profiles, the player can now view the “Final Fantasy VII”’s game world from different angles, while experiencing different kinds of gaming fun in this game when compared to its predecessor.
Utilise different weapons effectively according to situation
The main character in the game, Vincent, is a sharpshooter, and so the main weapon in the game is the gun. Many different types of guns will appear in the game, and the player has to utilize them effectively according to the situation. The guns can be classified into 3 groups, first, the handgun can react first to attack enemies at middle range; next the machinegun is quite effective against enemies at close range; and finally, the rifle allows targets to be engaged at long ranges without them realizing. Judging according to the situation to change to the different types of guns not only tests the player’s wit and reflexes, but also offers more excitement.
Freely customise guns
Besides having different types of guns in the game, it is also possible for the player to add on certain parts to the guns to enhance their capabilities. This ability to freely assemble the guns is sure to enhance the entertainment value of the game to no small extent. There are 5 parts that can be modified, namely the frame, barrel, scope, option and accessory. At first, the basic gun is the handgun, but after modifications, the moving speed, attack, range and other parameters can be changed. The lively freedom allows players to create their very own guns according to their wishes.

As stated, this game comes with the player wanting a fresh FF adventure, with the most under-rated hero in quite some time.Since I need to keep this rather short, I will begin on the story.Three years following the day of "Meteo" and one year following the events of "Advent Children", Vincent Valentine finds himself in the city of "Kalm", dreaming of the past.During the "Revival" celebration, Kalm is ravaged by some force, never before seen.In short, these are the "Deep Ground Soldiers", weapons created by Rufus, in case his kingdom began to slip to far away.Vincent now travels alone (Minus Yuffie) while working with Reeve, to restore what is left of the earth.Now for the game-play.At many times, it can be some-what fun, at others, it is some-what hell.The gun control is easy as well as annoying, but the sheer volume of gun attachments keeps the game fresh...Sorta.For graphics, they are (In my eyes) stunning.I have always wanted to roam the streets of "Midgar" at my own lesuire, yet now I can.Many places blend together, but as a major fan-boy, I really just love looking at them.Only thing missing is a train ^-^ That is about all you need to know, there is not much replay value, unless you are a fanatic like me.The boss batttles are fun once you have got the hang of the controls.That's it, if you love FF7, grab this game, if you know not what FF7 stand for, steer clear, stear very clear.Just remeber, this is not a great game, just an above average game. |
