Acclaimed actress Cecilia Yip stars in Distinctive, a Hong Kong creature feature that draws from American "monster in nature" romps like Jaws and Anaconda. A village deep in the countryside plays host to a mythical beast called "The Distinctive". Reporters Cici and Sam head to the remote location to find Distinctive, and are met by a group of five youngsters seeking tabloid riches. A photo of Distinctive nets a sizable financial reward, but the hide, fur, or whatever outer skin Distinctive carries is worth a whole lot more! With money and fame on their minds, the group takes to the woods to hunt the beast. But who's hunting who? Co-starring Chan Kwok Pong, Distinctive is a rare Hong Kong attempt at a popular Hollywood horror-thriller premise.
