* Special Features:
Deleted Scenes - HD / The Making Of Disturbia - HD / Serial Pursuit Trivia Pop-Up, Quiz / Outtakes - HD / Music Video - "Don't Make Me Wait" - This World Fair - HD / Photo Gallery
Director: D.J. Caruso
Kale (Shia LaBeouf) has a life most teenagers would envy. He spends his days endlessly playing video games, surfing the net, eating junk food and watching cable. He has complete free reign of the house, and a beautiful young hottie named Ashley (Sarah Roemer) has just moved in next-door.
There's only one problem - he's not allowed to leave the house. Kale's under court-ordered house arrest for three months, and if he takes one step beyond a 100-foot perimeter of the house, his next confinement will be in a real prison. And jail cells don't have video games or cable.
Life hasn't always been like this for him. A year ago, Kale and his mom (Carrie-Anne Moss) and dad were a tight-knit, happy family. Then his father was killed in a car accident, for which Kale feels somewhat responsible. The trauma has had long-lasting psychological effects. The once outgoing young man is now shut down and withdrawn. When an insensitive teacher brings up his father, Kale loses it and punches him out. Only the intercession of his mother kept him out of jail.

Thrillers are very popular to make ehese days and here is yet another one that has entered the market. A boy is getting housearrest and to try and make his days go by he starts to spy on his neighbours, one in particular that seems a bit strange. After hearing on the news about a murder that has gotten away from another state, he starts to get suspicious that this neigbhour can actually be the killer. The film is a bit different thriller in the sense that it focus on so much more than just the actual plot itself making it sometimes a rather funny film to see. David Morse plays really well in this film as the suspicious neighbour, its a role that stuis him really well. the other actors plays good aswell but not really up on par with David. This blu-ray release is somewhat variated in terms of quality. Some scenes look stunning while others looksa bit grainy and dark (many scenes are shot in the dark) Even so it looks really well on blu-ray with nice sharpness and depth in the film. If you are a fan of thrillers I guess this one should satisfy you. |
