From the director of Stairway to Heaven and Love Story In Harvard comes the fusion action drama Do Ggae Bi Ga Ganda which was originally broadcast in Korea in 1994. Featuring a star-studded cast that includes Kim Hye Su (My Eleventh Mother, Did We Really Love?), Lee Mi Sook (Hellcats), and Park Sang Won (The Legend, Sandglass), the story centers on the friction between two yakuzas - one Japanese, the other of Korean origin. One of the central characters is professor Kim Il Hwan who appears to be pro-Korea but deceptively operates an underground anti-Korean movement which focuses on confiscating precious Korean artifacts as well as expanding Japanese influence in Korean pop culture as a way to Japanize the Koreans. Heading the anti-Japanese coalition is the Korean yakuza which consists of its leader (played by Yu In Chon, Confession) and his followers: television producers (Park Sang Won, Kim Hye Su) and a TV anchorwoman (Lee Mi Sook).
