After being a prosecutor in Prosecutor Princess, Kim So Yeon becomes a sports doctor in the 2010 SBS medical drama Doctor Champ. The popular actress stars as an orthopedic specialist who works at Korea's Olympic training center, the Taereung National Village. In between treating sports injuries, she also has to deal with a romantic triangle between Uhm Tae Woong's cranky facility director, a former speed skater whose career was cut short by a debilitation injury, and a hardheaded, lovestruck judo athlete, played by Jung Gyo Woon (Romance Town).
