AKB48 became one of the most popular musical acts in Japan in 2010, and now fans can see the sweat, the blood, and the tears that got them there. Over 1000 tapes were used to capture the super-sized idol group's road to success over 2010, and the best footage were used to make the documentary 10 Nengo, Shojo Tachi wa Ima no Jibun ni Nani wo Omounodaro?. Supervised by director Iwai Shunji and directed by Kanshiku Yuri (My Rainy Days), the documentary follows the girls at major concerts, fan events, and all the behind-the-scenes hard work needed to create the pop sensation.

In addition to the feature-length film, which played in Japanese cinemas, the DVD also includes the director's cut of the NHK documentary Documentary of AKB48 Ichimili Saki no Mirai, the credit-less version of the ending, and trailers.
