Saru Lock director Shichitaka Go reunites with star Ichihara Hayato in this exciting story about a maverick cop's quest to stiop a dangerous serial bomber with the help of his trusty white dog. Unlike other dog films, Shichitaka doesn't play up the adorable side of his canine stars, instead emphasizing their physical abilities and their bravery via the exhilarating action sequences. In addition to Ichihara, the human cast of DOG X POLICE also includes Toda Erika (Liar Game) and Murakami Jun (Sweet Rain).

Yusaku (Ichihara Hayato) is a small-time cop who desires to make it big. After violating procedures to chase a suspect at the site of a bombing, Yusaku is demoted to the dog squad as punishment. After an initial inability to fit in with his teammates - including trainer Natsuki (Toda Erika) - Yusaku eventually learns about the important of teamwork while learning to work with his canine partner Shiro. Soon, the two join the manhunt for the serial bomber, who is becoming increasingly daring and dangerous with each attack.
