Based on stories by the winner of idol magazine JUNON's romance novel contest, youth romances Doukyusei and Taiikukan Baby were released in Japan as a double bill. Set in the same world with the same cast and characters, the two films begin from the same point and spin into two different stories of young love. D-BOYS member Nakamura Yuichi of Princess Princess D and Kamen Rider Den-O leads both films as high school swimmer Shibahara Jun. Co-starring Kiritani Mirei, Doukyusei is a hearfelt story of love and loneliness with an inspiring message. Doukyusei also co-stars Prince of Tennis Musical star Takahashi Yuta and Kubo Sho (Here is Greenwood).
During the summer high school swimming trials, ace swimmer Shibahara Jun (Nakamura Yuichi) comes up short. Feeling down and uncertain, he is cheered by an email from a stranger who is also named Jun and has the same birthday as him. From that day on, they become online friends, and Jun often tells everything he's thinking and feeling to "Jun". Gradually, Jun realizes that he has fallen in love with this girl he has never seen.
