International superstar Jet Li is an Indiana Jones-type adventurer AND a bookish writer in the hilarious, action-packed adventure-comedy Dr. Wai in the Scripture with No Words! Li is a harried author who pens the serial adventures of Dr. Wai, a grave-robbing adventurer in 1930s China. In his current story, Dr. Wai is chasing a mystical treasure (the "Scripture with No Words"), but must contend with rival grave robbers and dastardly Japanese soldiers. Complicating matters are Dr. Wai's sidekicks (Takeshi Kaneshiro and Charlie Yeung), and a sexy femme fatale (Rosamund Kwan) who may or may not be an ally in his quest.

However, back in reality, the author has other - not entirely coincidental - issues: a pending divorce to his estranged wife (also Rosamund Kwan), and a couple of sparring office assistants (also Takeshi Kaneshiro and Charlie Yeung) who insist on writing themselves into the latest Dr. Wai adventures! Will the author finish his story, or will these other would-be writers take over his creation?
